by the way, nowhere did i state that hendricks doesn't rely on his defense and isn't helped by a great one. that wasn't the point at all. the point was exactly what i said in the original post.

What? How is that exactly Sharma's point? It's literally the opposite. It proves Sharma's "point" to be silly. How? Sharma says he is made better by the defense. His FIP exhibits that relative to his ERA. Pretty simple stuff. He even says he is good pitcher - seems fair for that FIP. well, let's go back to andy's point then...the entire staff aside from Lackey has a pretty major FIP to ERA differential.

he's a pretty good baseball player. it's amazing, when we traded for him, they said he could end up being an above average but not elite 1B. amazing development work by the org. adam laroche upside but not generational talent

Did you know that his nephew (which is basically like his son since it's his twin brother) is on the Bulls now? -
I mean, he was BA's #19 prospect...not as highly rated by BP but that's pretty damn valuable. Not sure where Law had him midseason but he was pretty damn high on him too. Sure, but is that equivalent to a young major league multi-position infielder under team control for the next 6 years or whatever? I mean, I guess so since that's the way it went down. guess that depends on how good of a hitter you actually think javy is

They asked for Javy, couldn't get him, and then traded him for an A ball pitcher? I mean, I know Espinoza is highly touted but seems like the Cubs are gonna be asked for more than other teams.
