There's so much that's both wrong and right about those rankings. Seems like the only reason they even had us that far down is that we're good. I figured it'd be because of LIT.

Ok, well obviously you'd know better than I would, but if he's not, then what competition does Westbrook really have? They have one professional sports team that's only been around for 8 years or so now. yeah and if a college obsessed town stopped caring about AD so quickly, how much are they going to care about westbrook anyway

They were 6.5 out That, and this is just kind of a weird post in general. It's not like people were losing their minds over the Cubs getting to 6.5 out when the Cubs were, like, a dozen games up on them. The Cardinals were literally at 6.5 games out. Yes and I thought it was funny then to be worried about potentially having a much worse team within 6.5 games (which, yes, ultimately came to fruition for a bit, which changes nothing about what I'm saying) and it's still funny. Oh, my God, six and a half games ?! What's weird is how defensive you are about a playful comment (hell, I wasn't even thinking of you as one of those posters but you might've been) making fun of how bleak it was getting around here a couple weeks ago. Hell, the Cardinals were probably rooting for the Cubs this week.

remember when multiple posters were worried that the cardinals might get to within 6.5?

off days already suck, but off days after day games followed by west coast night games = the absolute worst :(

Am I crazy or didn't we give him some type of role once? ..maybe a couple of years ago around the time the players all came into town for Cubs convention...think he was involved in some sort of instructional capacity. I know he's with the Padres now, though. We did to Maddux under Hendry, but not Prior. Not what I'm talking about. Was under Theo. Maybe 2 offseasons ago. EDIT - Here it is. 2013 Cubs Convention. http://articles.chicagotribune.com/2013-01-17/sports/chi-cubs-prior-20130117_1_cubs-prospects-cubs-convention-marc-strickland
