I'm so confused by this post...at first I thought you were thinking Fernandez played for the Yankees...but then you said the thing about fishing. Are you saying the Yankees are snake bitten? he was comparing a boat crash to plane crashes, and the fishing thing was a dumb reference to the fact that he played for the marlins I got that part...but who is the snake bitten franchise? like i said, at first i thought he thought fernandez played with the yankees. then he said the fishing thing which made it pretty clear he knew he played for the marlins. so who is the snake bitten franchise? the yankees? just seems like an oddly irrelevant thing to say. especially when munson happened like 40 years ago and lidle like ten. anyway, i don't want to sidetrack this thread...i was just voicing my confusion when i read that post.
