  1. 57 wins at home. very complicated math but i believe that's a 114 win pace in an 81 game sample.
  2. look how far off the plate he is lol
  3. they are not worse than the current mets but the truth is none of this matters I've started to get re-concerned for the Mets because their offense is really heating up a la last year. The actual talent is rather meh but you've always got to be concerned with the hot team in October. On reality though like you said none of this matters. The Cubs are going to get who they are going to get, and they will be much better than that team. you need to stop thinking hot streaks are a thing and that'll help a lot with this (and the weird stuff you like to post)
  4. do not walk this fat [expletive] chapman
  5. There were unconfirmed rumors that the bullpen move would be delayed one more season, but I believe the Cubs denied those rumors. So at this point, I don't think we know. One more season after it was already delayed to 2017?
  6. yeah, they were saying that if the cubs were honest they probably would say they wouldn't want to play the cards. i'd be happy to play them. their rotation isn't very strong and their defense is abysmal. I want to face them so bad. If we lose, I don't give a damn who it is to, its gonna suck really bad either way. The Cards are clearly the worst team of the 3 possibilities and they are far worse than us. The only pitcher they have that scares me is a mental midget that they'll have to burn in the WC game. Its as close to a bye week as you can get in the MLB playoffs. Cards, Mets, Giants would be my order of preference. Giants are the only team that would scare me. they are not worse than the current mets but the truth is none of this matters
  7. that was the last word...but then that was originally the word going into this year too
  8. lmao wow that was the worst thing possible [literal]Grounding into a triple play would have been the worst thing possible [/] not in terms of cool in terms of cool, being asked to bunt like some dork and then failing at it miserably is the worst
  9. as long as javy is ok i'm fine with that.
  10. honestly what the horsefeathers is wrong with you people watching this game?
  11. lmao wow that was the worst thing possible
  12. you'd be surprised how many casual baseball fans still don't really get this. i'm just glad they're saying it's because of random small sample nonsense instead of some nonsense about playoff mettle and guts
  13. this is heyward's last chance to do something cool and good against them
  14. yeah but it makes my ears sad to listen to a girl talk about sports. Something Boone couldn't observe because he was too busy hoping the Cubs would blow the game because Maddon let Ross have his moment. I was skeptical of Mendoza only because I felt early in her tenure she would try to relate baseball and softball but she's been phenomenal. Boone sucks. I think even Boone is solid.
  15. i feel like for the most part this espn booth is really informed about the different narratives surrounding the teams...this is soooooooooooooo much better than yesterday
  16. hey look mendoza notices why grimm is good against lefties
  17. I just read someone complain about Jessica Mendoza on GRB and I'm honestly perplexed.
  18. throw something other than a fastball to randall grichuk
  19. i mean, it could very well play a role in determining their playoff opponent, not that THAT matters all that much
