  1. Basically, the gist is that right now they have the Dodgers, as presently constructed for the postseason, PROJECTING as a 105 win talent team. In other words, their system is disastrously broken.
  2. With the season wrapped up I dont get why the season stats mode isn't the default [tweet] [/tweet]
  3. And they all (well, Green not so much in the upper body, but I think 210 might be generous there) have pretty muscular and lean builds. Muscle weighing more than fat, I can't see how someone with less muscle at that same weight would be considered "ridiculously" skinny Kind of a pointless argument but w/e My first reaction is that the weights and definitely the heights are probably not very accurate. This is also true.
  4. i can't wrap my head around how insanely hard it feels to get through the MLB playoffs and come out the champion, and then how the hell the yankees pulled off the late 90's.
  5. You win back $215 if you bet $100 and they win, plus your original $100. Basically puts Cubs at 70% to win That sounds insane but I guess the oddsmakers are trying to balance out all that Chicago money Well, yeah. I wasn't posting it because I thought it reflected our actual chances. I posted it because of how insanely +EV it seems to be.
  6. Yup. Must fight urge to hedge my emotions with a wager like a douche.
  7. Seriously, this is insane. What does this mean? I'm not a betting man it means that if you bet on the giants moneyline, you would win $215 for every $100 wagered....so you're getting 2.15-1 the cubs are -255, which means you have to bet $255 to win $100
  8. Really? I find the Dodgers wayyyyyyy scarier than the Giants (even though it's playoffs so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ regardless of opponent)
  9. If you still have your Athletic free articles for this month, this is an interesting read https://theathletic.com/21039/2016/10/06/the-true-story-of-how-kyle-hendricks-became-a-cy-young-candidate/
  10. And having an offense that is a lot better than the Giants 5 times out of 5. I like the Cubs chances. And a defense that is much better than the Giants also very good defense.
  11. Good thing that's not the case. If you go strictly xFIP or FIP, which is obviously what he's doing, Cueto > Lester.
  12. Doesn't seem long ago at all to me. Feels like yesterday we were reading Pedroia comps on Torreyes.
  13. pitching someone on 3 days rest is already pretty much always a bad idea...you wouldn't be surprised if he went 2 days rest (not to mention coming off a 119 pitch start)? has that even been done ever?
  14. Saturday is 2 days rest. Who is "they?"
  15. i still hate that website but that's awesome! congrats where are the seats? Section 235 row 20. Not the best seats in the house but I'm not going to complain! nothing wrong with those! (as long as you aren't really unlucky with the placement of those damn poles)

  18. that's 2 days rest they won't do that, but they are more than welcome to, if they want.
  19. I'm with Derwood here. Guy I work with is 6'4" without much muscle tone and he likes to stay around 195-200. He's far from looking gangly or anything. Not that 210 is fat or anything, but based on that anecdote, unless you have some decent muscle on you, 210 is probably a smidge overweight. Definitely not ridiculously skinny.
