  1. I've set foot in Circus Circus once in my life and that was enough for me.

  3. yeah, the only reason i granted him even a tiny shred of credibility was that he was followed by ian happ for some reason.
  4. just a reminder that heyward looked goofy as hell at the plate even when he was launching 27 bombs in 2012 2010 too so maybe he's just awkward looking as hell no matter what
  5. he's just doing drills, so as complete laymen, we REALLY have no idea what looks good or bad at least that guy would be familiar with some of that stuff if he's taken at his word
  6. this guy who ian happ follows appears to not be a fan...not sure who he is but based on his twitter, seems to at least believe he's a swing expert [tweet] [/tweet] [tweet] [/tweet]
  7. it's going to be goff and bernstein [tweet] [/tweet]
  8. Frankly, I'm surprised by the default unwilllingness to discuss seriously any POV coming from a conservative, but that's probably because I'm a foreigner. Again, this isn't about conservative vs. liberal. I have never identified, generally, as a liberal. There are others (though in the minority) here like me. Trump is a dangerous monster who is empowering hateful and bigoted people. If that isn't bad enough, he has no idea what he's doing, either.
  9. The thing is, you don't have to be massively liberal to be disgusted by Trump. You just have to be of maybe average intelligence and paying slight attention.
  10. Go back to jehr's original post from before this got out of hand (as political discussions usually do nowadays); his original statement didn't use the word "equally" - that inference was added later by people who disagreed with him. I read his original post as him simply being unhappy with both (main) candidates, which sounds fair. He's strongly implying that there isn't much difference between them because they're "both bad." I don't see how it can be read any other way. And it's very wrong. Even if you're not crazy about Hillary and maybe she's a can of sardines or something else gross...Trump is a cyanide pill.

  13. not to mention the fact that choice here was between the cubs visiting trump or obama. Hillary is irrelevant.
  14. From his press secretary, on October 5th: “The president is a loyal Chicago White Sox fan." He leans strongly enough to where his press secretary felt it necesary to make that statement. I'm sure he was happy for the city as a whole, but he was always an out-and-out Sox fan. it's pretend nonsense that most politicians do, probably because he's from the south side.
  15. i am not a democrat and i think this is insane. are you paying any attention whatsoever to anything that is going on and that has gone on since the election? or are you unaware of the cabinet full of neo nazis and other assorted lunatics? this isn't even close and obama isn't a huge white sox fan (he's about as much of a sox fan as rahm is a cubs fan) lol nor is he eating crow on this, give me a break aside....is "cominskey field" worse or is this worse?
  16. i am almost positive it launched at $10 a month (for the monthly pay option) this is the closest thing i can find to evidence [tweet]https://twitter.com/adam_doster/status/692502553972588544[/tweet]
  17. maybe if russell or bryant hadn't had first round bonuses and had had some major struggles in the big leagues
  18. check out his J's
  19. Lineman on lineman impact is generally not that impactful Been a while since I've read up on this but http://mmqb.si.com/2014/10/14/new-harvard-study-concussions-in-the-trenches http://www.cleveland.com/science/index.ssf/2013/03/non-concussion_football_head_h.html So....I guess if their technique is "good" enough (however realistic that may be in practice) to avoid bumping helmets often, sure. I'm not sure how realistic that may or may not be, but with 9+ guys involved I could see it happening fairly often. Probably not every play, though.
  20. Really more than once a play because of the line play
  21. i'm not sure this is true for baseball but sweet
  22. it's $10? That's nuts. yup compared to what people pay for like netflix, it seems insane http://www.forbes.com/sites/darrenheitner/2017/01/10/why-2-1-million-was-invested-in-a-sports-news-subscription-site/#8290d5742c41 btw, still think it's dumb but at least it looks like they've lowered their rate...$5 a month monthly or $40 for the year.
