  1. I thought the report was that he's allowed to discuss and seek an opt out clause with the acquiring team (not that he just automatically has it) in exchange for waiving no trade rights I didn't really look too hard at it Ok, I just saw someone post the tweet. I need clarification now. ask and receive [tweet] [/tweet]

  3. did you guys catch the hicks interview during the game? it sounded like he was campaigning for mitch to be the starter. he talked about how exciting it was and said something along the lines of how you really hope to see him play in the regular season with better players edit - here's a quote from arkush's article http://www.profootballweekly.com/2017/08/11/hub-arkush-chicago-bears-first-team-offense-stumbles-in-preseason-opener/acnrbgp/
  4. they don't think he's worth what he's owed in the final year of his contract. They've questioned his commitment coming back from injury and basically are just looking for an opportunity to cut him. Able players are cut all the time if they either don't fit a system or rub coaches the wrong way. yeah, that's basically what i was asking...if it's a performance thing or just a guy the coaches don't like
  5. as someone who is far from an expert in nfl contract issues/salary cap stuff, is there some reason the bears would be cutting fuller? or is it just an issue of not thinking he's good enough to be on the roster?
  6. I actually think the black jerseys (not the shirts that they've switched to the last couple of years) were the best in the league. And if they ever brought back the black jerseys with the red pinstripes, the rest of the league can forget about it. nah. the pinstripe ones are cool and are a nice change of pace, but the reds win easily.
  7. more excited people http://www.csnchicago.com/chicago-bears/twitter-explodes-over-mitch-trubiskys-debut [tweet] [/tweet] [tweet] [/tweet] [tweet] [/tweet] [tweet] [/tweet]
  8. I will not criticize you for getting excited about Trubisky, I will criticize anybody who watched a preseason game though. meh. cubs on an off night and i was excited to watch the rookies. the last time i was excited to watch a preseason game was 2009 when we first got jay.
  9. So, with the obvious qualifier that it's extremely early, but through one preseason game and through training camp, this looks like a really good draft class. Jackson is going to grab one of the safety spots sooner than later. Flashed the ballhawk ability last night a little bit. Shaheen, by all accounts during camp, a couple drops aside last night, looks legitimate. Cohen flashed his speed and looks like he's gonna be very fun to watch. Don't need to really say more about Mitch.

  15. i was hoping we'd see shaheen here at the goalline
  16. Picks up the 1st down on 3rd and 18 with pressure coming up the middle!
  17. Not able to watch. 9-9 for only 74 yards suggests a lot of short and intermediate throws? Is he only making safe reads or am I looking too much into it? mostly medium depth on the true passes...dumped off a couple times and the TD pass was like 1 yard
  18. [tweet] [/tweet]
  19. every throw is right on the horsefeathering money
