Regarding the offense, it's too bad you didn't watch the playoffs last year. Yes there are a couple different guys and its a different season, but the majority of the offense will be made up of guys who played on a team that got shut out 4 times in 13 LCS/WS games, including twice in a row in the NLCS, and 2 of the first 3 games of the World Series. What did the Cubs do after getting shut out 2 times in a row against the Dodgers? They scored 24 runs in the next 3 games including 5 off of Kershaw to win the series. What did they do after getting shut out in games 1 and 3 of the World series? ...Well they struggled for 2 more games and then broke out for 9 and 8 runs in the last 2 games to win the title. The Cubs are streaky but when they get out of slumps they get out of them in a hurry. I'm not saying the Cubs are a lock to win or anything but I expect the Cubs to come through until they don't. I have full faith in Kyle, and Gio honestly does not scare me at all. Sure having Scherzer in the middle innings scares me but so did Andrew Miller in Game 7 and we scored 2 off of him. it's almost as if the majority of these slumps and streaks in baseball are just a figment of our imaginations or something occasionally something mechanical gets out of whack or whatever, but usually it's just baseball. the cubs are going to get shut down by great pitching sometimes. that's why it's great pitching. i mean we're talking about guys like clayton kershaw, max scherzer, and stephen strasburg right now. for horsefeathers's sake. that doesn't mean they'll never beat it, but they're obviously going to get beat by it frequently too, especially with how often you face it in the playoffs.
