  1. I really don't think Prior will ever pitch again in a professional game. Its sad, he would have been one of the best this game has ever seen.
  2. Potential - He's just waiting for the right time to bust out Attitude - What a great clubhouse influence Tools - More tools than Marrioti family reunion Teamwork - Always going the extra mile for his teammates E - Won't see any of these with him in Center field Return - We'd all love to see his triumphant return to the top of our lineup Speed - it'll never slump, especially if its never on base Orangutan - I dunno, I couldn't really think of one for O Northside - its where Corey belongs
  3. With wang hurt, I kinda wonder if the Yankees would be interested in getting BJ before the deadline.
  4. As an ace, no. As a back of the rotation starter, yes. He's been pitching well long enough now to prove that it's not a fluke. So did Rich Hill
  5. What just happened? Gameday like...forgot that Derosa batted and all the sudden he's on first with nobody on 3rd anymore.
  6. Plus, considering that Soto caught for us in September 07, and all of 08, I have to assume that his W/L record as the started is just as good. We've had good teams, that has a whole lot to do with it.
  7. Haha, you said colon has been scratched.
  8. I'm sure I'm not the only one who saw that coming.
  9. Towers was going on and on about it in the papers. I couldn't believe how open he was to the media during the trade process.
  10. But then they'll sign some AAAA castoff and he'll outperform Holliday anyway.
  11. That said, bad harden will probably show up and give up like 9 runs in 3 innings, and the Cards will somehow win with freakin Wellemeyer on the mound.
  12. Pitching matchup favors us tomorrow, and the Card's pitching matchup favors the Phils. This team could possibly finishing tomorrow in first place. That's amazing.
  13. I would stab my eyes out if we got Pierre again. he's by far my least favorite baseball player in the game today.
  14. That'd be like Hendry correcting an offseason mistake. That'd be kinda weird. Wonder if the Cards will trade us Derosa :pig:
  15. Why would we do that, and why would they do that? Well I guess we could put Fox and Hoff in a platoon. But we better be getting something good back. Selling low on somebody with as much talent as Bradley is a bad idea. Posted that in the game thread, this is a better place for it. Taking back Ordonez wouldn't bother me at all assuming that his option years don't vest.

  17. I almost feel better about us winning the wildcard than winning the division. Especially since the freakin Giants and Rockies are tied for the WC lead right now, and we're decidedly better than both of those teams. If that happens, we'd likely face the Dodgers and I can see us getting by them if things fall our way. Maybe the Cardinals can pull a series win out of their asses against the Phils. I would like our chances against the Cards in the NLCS.
  18. Its possible that Theriot did that by himself.
  19. He just went 3-0 on Soriano, then walked Fontenot on 4 pitches....Hill swings at the first pitch. Nice
  20. I was hoping for a Soriano homer there. Doubt we score with Fontenot and Hill coming up.
  21. They gave him credit for a triple there? Pat made it sound like it was an error. What happened?
  22. I don't really understand the bunt there...
  23. Was it the 2003 season opener that his hair caught on fire?
  24. His call of Wise's catch was pretty hilarious, too. After it happened and he says he makes the catch, he's silent for a second, Stone starts to say something and he cuts him off to scream "WISE MAKES THE CATCH" again. I really wish Hawk was a part of the nation's unemployment rate.
