  1. I don't understand the rationale of putting Womack in CF. Pierre isn't a defensive wizard by any stretch, but I have to believe that Womack would be worse defensively. For the remainder of the season, who's likely to be most productive? I'm pretty confident that Pierre is the answer to that. And most importantly, what's the purpose of such a move? Womack represents not much of a change, and he (hopefully)has no future with the club in that(or any) fashion. Pierre at the worst has the potential to improve and get us a draft pick in free agency, and at best(or worst depending on your point of view) regains his mojo to be a "speedy leadoff hitter", possibly for an extended period.
  2. One of my best friends from school is from Iran, even more reason to rail against the tricolores.
  3. Pitcher abuse is the number one reason why Dusty should be fired.
  4. You can't assume that at all. It's a very real, if not probable possibility that Murton will never produce even modest power numbers.
  5. nice finish let's see another one plz
  6. So you don't have a single reason to not like Johnson.
  7. If the guy who is offsides isn't involved in the pass/play, there's no call.
  8. That dude's silver hair is awesome.
  9. Did the Ivory Coast's keeper lose his balance? I can't figure why he fell to his knees before that goal, it killed any chance he had of stopping Crespo's shot.
  10. I would, which is crazy. Spend a few years in Chicago and then we'll talk. Give me a break. The success of the Cubs is priority 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. It doesn't matter who a trade is with, if it makes the Cubs better we should do it. At no point should it EVER be of concern how much flak the fans will take if the trade doesn't work out as planned. You spend a few years in Chicago too and then we'll have this discussion. Same person.

Again, spend a few years in Chicago and then we'll have this discussion. Are you under the impression that everyone that lives in Chicago feels this way? You're in the vast minority with this irrational opinion. And not that it makes the slightest of differences, but I live in the middle of Cardinal country, and still wouldn't have the slightest of worries about trading with them if it made us better.
  12. I'm not a fan, I want Ivory Coast to win. That said, I couldn't tell for sure if it completely crossed the line.

  14. whoa, I want to see a zoomed in shot of that post shot. This analyst needs to figure out that he doesn't need to talk loudly into the microphone with every syllable. He's a cross between Vitale and Raftery.
  15. Don't think of it as a tie. Think of it as getting a point.
  16. Sancho has been great, and Edwards's tackle on Ljunberg just a minute ago was amazing.
  17. Part of me is kina glad for the tackle that gave Avery John that second yellow though, cause that tool with the braided mullet got cracked.
  18. Are T&T wearing slippers? All of their players are losing their footing all over the field.
  19. South Carolina is up 7-0 in the second inning in Athens, Georgia after back-to-back moonshots. EDIT: Wow, 4 straight BOMBS off two different Georgia pitchers, and the last out was a laserbeam to the warning track. 9-0 after 1.5 innings.
