  1. Just 3 so far-his OBP does lead the team though. Yeah I thought he was supposed to be Neifi #2. (not aimed at you). I agree. These 3 spring training walks show that he's seen the error of his previous 4600 professional plate appearances where he couldn't take a walk even when he didn't have a bat in his hands.
  2. Someone forgot to tell Drew Neitzel that his team is playing right now. 29-17 Wisconsin. OSU-aTm, Georgetown-ND, and NC St.-Virginia are all just underway.
  3. Yes. Air Force, Indiana, Georgetown, v. Gonzaga, @BC, and GT are all good wins. They're 13-9 against the RPI top 100, have the #3 SOS, and they're 16 in RPI. They might've been on the bubble if not for the win streak they went on after the first Maryland game.
  4. I don't understand how KSU and Purdue have sealed the deal. I mean, if they weren't in before, why does winning a game against a bubble team(Iowa wasn't really even a bubble team either) put you in? I see it if KSU beat aTm, or if Purdue knocked off Wisconsin, but I think this is a case of overemphasizing the conference tourneys.
  5. Miami has had a sizeable lead on BC for quite a while, the lead is at 8 with 7 minutes left. Purdue is wailing on Iowa, and K-State leads Texas Tech by 7 at the half.
  6. Did Kroeger have an injury somewhere? He's got a really unusual minor league career. 2003, Age 21: .341/.409/.528/.937 in ~350 PA's at A+, .274.315/.380/.695 in ~225 PA's at AA 2004, Age 22: .331/.393/.588/.981 in ~275 PA's at AA, .332/.376/.587/.963 in ~225 PA's at AAA, September callup 2005, Age 23: .261/.316/.422/.738 in ~500 PA's at AAA 2006, Age 24: .231/.270/.370/.640 in ~475 PA's at AAA He went from hitting everything in sight to falling off the map.
  7. Nit-ology has us "solidly in" as a 6 seed as of tuesday. Cross your fingers. Honestly, after getting whomped by Baylor, I'll be surprised if we even get in. When do they pick who gets into the NIT? The NIT selection show is Sunday, 8 PM CST on ESPN2
  8. What kind of pitch is that grip for? It's not a standard fastball, curve or slider grip, that's for certain. Changeup?
  9. No one is hating on DirecTV. I have my business phone, home phone, email address, internet service and tv's through my cable company. I get a nice sized discount by having the 3 way package. Why should I have to give up any or all of that? Life is full of choices. You can't always have your cake and eat it too. I still don't like the exclusivity, but individual inconvenience isn't why.

  11. I sure am glad Baylor decided to pick this game to shoot around 70% from 3.
  12. I've watched several Nebraska games this year, and I don't think I've seen them make anything between the paint and the arc. Like, ever. OSU leads them by 11 at the half.
  13. Who in the world told Chester Frazier he was any good at making threes?
  14. I don't know if there is room. Lou likes him. I don't think there's going to be room for Wuertz. That would be a catastrophic mistake. Does Wuertz have an appearance this spring? He's had a sore shoulder(and apparently had this in previous springs as well), there was a report that he'll start making appearances in games shortly.
  15. I don't know if there is room. Lou likes him. I don't think there's going to be room for Wuertz. That would be a catastrophic mistake.
  16. Is the Pac-10 tourney only being shown on FSN West? I know CBS is showing the title game. Personally, I'd rather see the Pac-10 tourney than the Big East tourney. I've been seeing the Pac 10 tourney on my FSN channel, and I'm in the Southeast right now. Here in Big 12 country (I hate Big 12 country)we're watching the Big 12 Women's tourney. Ouch. UCLA game is on in about 15 mins, maybe that bumps the women? Doesn't look like it. In my area FSN had the Tottenham-West Ham replay, then the 2:00 CST Pac-10 quarterfinal, and now some filler before the B12 women's tourney all night.
  17. Yes. I don't really have any attachment to Mizzou's tournament failures from 10 years ago.

  19. Holy crap that second Tottenham goal is unreal.
  20. This game is on FSN right now, it's in the 59th minute.
  21. Bracketology is wrong. No way ND is below a 5 if they win today against Cuse IMO. Their RPI is 33, but just about every other ratings system known to man has them in the top 20. Lunardi is very good. A 33 RPI hasn't been enough to get teams off the bubble in the past, and their 117th SOS doesn't help matters either.
  22. Cotts is 2 years older, and has been a reliever for 3 years(plus a cup of coffee in '02) while Guzman just broke the big leagues last year.
  23. Rogers has a gimpy ankle and won't be 100%, which is good because he did his best Julian Wright imitation when they came to CoMo. Fun fact: Baylor hasn't won a Big XII game away from home(read: away games and tourney games) in 3 years. That's at least 26 consecutive losses. It'd be really swell if we weren't the team to break that streak.
  24. Always always always say how many teams in the league.
