  1. What was wrong with his 2006?
  2. Looks like Bad Marmol showed up tonight.
  3. Lenny Dykstra. Not a lot of power, pretty good but not great speed, good patience, undersized, plays balls-to-the-wall. This comparison has been raised before, and it seems to be a very apt one. For every Lenny Dykstra there are hundreds of guys comparable to him who flame out in AA. Sam Fuld and Adam Greenberg being immediate examples that jump to mind.
  4. Don't get too excited, with the rising cost of tackling dummies, the Bears have begun to sign NCAA washouts to take their place. So is Walker going to team up with somebody to be a tackling dummy, or are they just going to use him as a cone?
  5. I'm not a Golden State fan, but I really wish I was at one of those two games, this crowd is INTENSE.
  6. Good pitching day. Let's keep up those K/BB's for all 3.
  7. On the other hand, the entire system of coaches didn't come with Wilken from Toronto either.
  8. I saw Moore in the Sun Bowl, and he seemed competent. Didn't really get a chance to show off much arm strength, and he had the presence of mind to repeatedly dump off to running backs on the game winning drive(although I think they were trying to that after about 5 times). Don't know how well he'll project in the NFL though.
  9. I think the Tanard Jackson pick is a good one. He should excel in the cover-2 scheme. Agreed about Jackson. Great value pick for the Bucs. I know absolutely nothing about the other guys, though. Much appreciated guys, thanks. Looks like they went all out to infuse the (aging) defense with some talent and speed.
  10. Good day for Colvin. 2 for 4 with a double
  11. Anyone knowledgable and generous enough to tell me what they think of Tampa's Day 2 picks? 4 7(106) Tanard Jackson DC SYRACUSE 5 4(141) Greg Peterson DT NORTH CAROLINA CENTRAL 6 8(182) Adam Hayward ILB PORTLAND STATE 7 4(214) Chris Denman OT FRESNO STATE 7 35(245) Marcus Hamilton DC VIRGINIA 7 36(246) Ken Darby RB ALABAMA All I know is that Darby was a beast a couple years ago in NCAA Football '05.
  12. Several times. I think Mickey Morandini is the most recent to do it.
  13. Colvin with another walk today. 0 for 3 otherwise though.
  14. Lovie with non-answers to pointed questions from Wingo. The Bucs draft Piscitelli, meh
  15. wtg Pavlovic with the dagger 3-0 Cavs
  16. No, none at all. Draft something/anything else. Crap, shoulda taken Meachem instead of Griffin :x I was mostly kidding, I want TB to get a WR.
  17. No, none at all. Draft something/anything else.
  18. i can't speak for cheapseats, but i do know that PECOTA projects Pie to be better than Jones. Jones -- .284/.343/.473 VORP: 12.3 WARP: 2.8 EqA: .279 Pie -- .288/.342/.480 VORP: 25.3 WARP: 5.0 EqA: .283 I have a hard time believing that a player with questionable plate discipline will be better in his first year in the bigs than he was in his first year at Iowa. He was much better as the season progressed. Over the last 3 months his OPS was approaching .900.
  19. Rice and Jarrett gone :(
  20. ATTN: CLEVELAND CAVALIERS The second half has, in fact, started. Feel free to score points at your leisure. Hugs and Kisses, TT
  21. Well, I wonder if Rice lasts all the way to #64.
  22. Ohman? Why are you doing this Lou? There's 1 LH batter coming up in the next 5. Cripes.
  23. I don't understand how Gonzalez goes before both Jarrett and Rice. At least that guarantees one of them will be there for the Bucs unless Matt Millen tries to one up himself for lunacy.
  24. Good outing for Z. Would've liked to see more missed bats, but the no walks is a welcome change too.
