It's a small thing to be annoyed about, but I really wish that Bryant were higher than 5th. The guy was 8th in the NL in wOBA, we shouldn't be keeping him from extra late inning at bats. Fowler, Heyward, Bryant, Rizzo, Zobrist, Schwarber, Soler, Montero, Russell would be nearly perfect, maybe swapping Schwarber for Zobrist because Rizzo hits LHP and Zobrist breaks up a trio of high-K guys.

There's quite a few low-ceiling pitchers of interest at Tennessee. Blackburn, Markey, Tseng, then the relievers like Garner, Black, and Concepcion.

She's also calling national games, which requires a slightly different angle than say, JD, because of the audience. I think she's pretty easily better than any national color person save for maybe Glanville. She does have the advantage of being in a 3 person booth so she can be a little more selective and not feel obligated to talk so much(2 person booths shouldn't have this compulsion either, but baby steps), but she says smart things and several times a game adds something that even educated viewers might not have spotted, which puts her at the front of the pack. -

The last few steps look a bit awkward, but if Almora makes that catch look harder than it should be, it's because he has terrific range to get to the spot where he can slow down and still make the catch. That ball is smoked on a line. He gets to the spot, which is slightly behind him about 70 feet away, in less than 3 seconds. http://i.imgur.com/rWNZsza.png

Szczur has the equivalent of 30 games in the OF at the MLB level, so we won't be able to draw any statistical conclusions about his defense. That said, he's gonna get sent down/waived too in all likelihood. -
I hope Clark gets directly in the line of sight of any man baby that whines about his presence at Wrigley Field, and forces them to address their boorish nihilism. I want any Clark-on-field apologists to get a T-shirt cannon to the face at close range.

Clark is for visiting people in the hospital and for giving bored kids a place to enjoy themselves on the concourse, he should not be in anyone's field of vision when at their seat. If you disagree you are wrong and a bad person.

Martins getting that Chinese offer and getting it in February really, really hurt. Until then they had 4 forwards to rotate through the ups and downs of age(Dempsey/Valdez) and inexperience(Morris), and now the only speed is wasted with Morris trying to learn to play RW and the depth is not good enough(though in time it could be). They're supposed to be adding a DP and another signing of significance, which combined with Torres's return which should make them a lot more dangerous by summer, but that still might not be enough if they keep bleeding points and if Dempsey/Valdez/Morris can't be more dangerous in the attacking third.
