Vin Scully is bad but he's still far from the worst. The Sox already have a ready-made worst booth to choose. Lets not forget good ole Thom Brennaman. Yes, he and Hrabosky are both excellent choices.
Hmm C: Cervelli 1B: Hosmer 2B: Phillips SS: Danny Espinoza 3B: Matt Duffy OF: Braun OF: Carlos Gomez OF Sean Rodriguez SP: Bumgarner Sure, but who manages the team? Baker? Matheny? Price? Hurdle? Guillen? That's a tough call, I'll say Dusty. Larry Lucchino is definitely the GM though.
Hmm C: Cervelli 1B: Hosmer 2B: Phillips SS: Danny Espinoza 3B: Matt Duffy OF: Braun OF: Carlos Gomez OF Sean Rodriguez SP: Bumgarner I'm guessing you were purposely picking no Cardinals because if you could pick Cardinals and didn't name Molina your catcher... Molina was the only Cardinal I really considered, but he's always been equally parts annoying for being good and for being a bit of a tool. Cervelli embarrasses himself on the field several times a week with how much of a tool he is.
boy you were not kidding I kept reading for even a single person to go 'hey maybe he just got hit, this happens in pretty much every baseball game without malice', but nope, not a solitary voice of reason to be found
I'm very much closer to the 'root for laundry' end of the spectrum, but I still prefer not to have to have any conflicting emotions about being happy when a player on that team does well. Castro was one thing, Chapman is another. Also and probably more importantly, I have zero interest in paying the cost it takes to acquire Chapman only to have him be a free agent in a couple months.
