Why? Sure Beckett's only 25, but he's never thrown 180 innings, and he's only had an ERA+ over 120 once in his career, and it was two years ago. Add in the fact that we don't have a hole in the rotation, and several of our better prospects are approaching the majors(including Hill), I don't see why we'd want to pay such an extravagant price for Beckett. -

What did Bing do? Picked off a pass in the end zone, and instead of going down, he takes it out, and high steps for part of the return.

Uh... I'm pretty sure the refs just screwed Fresno in some way there, either by not giving them the yardage or the time on the clock.

Mota has great stuff, but he's 32 and had trouble getting outs even in that big ballpark last year. I wouldn't mind him at all, but I'd probably pay a little more (either in cash or prospects) to get Dotel.

even if Fresno scores, they are still going to have to stop USC's offense which hasn't happened so far in the 2nd half. USC having to go more than 30-40 yards will help.

Anyone think Auburn could potentially jump Oregon and/or ND in the new BCS? They stand to gain quite a bit in the computer polls, which have been harsh on them to this point(17th last week).
