He's probably arguing that NeifSuck pushed him off the base, which he did. His entire body slid past the base, there was a good chance of him coming off even if Neifi wasn't waiting for the tag.

He's walking more and striking out less than previous years, which means he should be okay when his BABIP rises some(and for a guy with his speed hitting the amount of line drives he is, it should). I don't see the point in comparing him to Jones though. A more appropriate comparison would be to Pierre, and this year Corey has been unmistakably superior.

Now Raisin can be happy. I finally was able to upload the videos of Scherzer! These are both from his March 10th start. They were taken with my digital camera at the only spot I wasn't obstructed by the screen or other people, so you basically just get a good look at his mechanics. Windup Stretch -

Not well. 6.45 ERA, 1.75 WHIP, 7/8 K/BB in 4 starts(22.1 IP) -
He's 38 years old, and he hasn't been worthwhile offensively since '04. While he's a good defender at first, that's the only position he can play. He's not a good fit for this team.
