Several differences. We still have Pagan. Pagan had more minor league success at higher levels. Pagan filled a role near the MLB club, while Negron is destined for an already overloaded OF situation.

I based by argument on what was posted at the beginning of the thread. We don't know the question he was asked. The point is, he was obviously asked about the incident, and claiming that he shouldn't comment on it just because he got hit hard is ridiculous. I didn't say he shouldn't comment because he got hit hard today. I meant that he shouldn't comment because he's been hit hard his whole, albeit short career. Hill was basically talking trash to Pierzynski which I don't think is right considering he's basically a rookie. He's the last person who should be talking trash. The fact that he was 10-20 feet from the play doesn't matter at all because Hill didn't offer any extra insight into the situation. To sum up Hill's quote: Pierzynski is bush league. I'm not saying that he shouldn't have said anything, but there is no reason to talk trash to the opposing team who, by the way, has just handily defeated your team two days in a row. Lee would be an improvement, but I'm not that enthusiastic about going after him. His discipline and power have remained pretty much constant, and fluctuations in batting average have determined his good and bad years. I think you're likley to get near his career numbers for the next few years, or around a .280/.340/.500/.840 line. Nothing to be ashamed of for sure, but probably not a good gamble in the FA market, especially since he turns 31 next season.
