  1. I get paid to watch the WNBA, but then I have to clean up the stadium. Just start cleaning up in the locker room first:lol:
  2. Is that the one who was on tv awhile back because he was like a computer programmer and was making all kinds of new programs to help Shapiro evaluate talent? Either way Cleveland has 2 assistant GMs, Chris Antonetti and John Mirabelli For my dream scenario I'd have Schuerholtz (GM), Bobby Cox (Man.), and Alan Dunn (P.C.). I'd also have Von Joshua promoted to ML hitting coach.
  3. I'm assuming that wasn't Ron? It is a different game than the NBA but I'd say it's still pretty fun to watch.
  4. DJAXX, did Brian play in game one? I can only find the boxscores for the 2nd game and I see he isn't in the lineup
  5. Well Gaetti is the only one I can remember; Biittner's career ended before I was born. I was alive when Dascenzo played for the Cubs and I've probably seen him play, but I'll be damned if I remember much about him.
  6. [megaphone on] This is the P.C. police! We've got your computer completely surrounded! Come out with your hands up or we're coming in to get you![megaphone off] In all seriousness though, he is a National still isn't he? Maybe he was Bowden's designated driver?
  7. The next Doug Dascenzo. :D Or maybe Gary Gaetti
  8. I'm not possitive but I believe each team is allowed to have something like 1 or 2 players over the age limit.
  9. Too bad we didn't do this a year ago. Maybe we could have also included Rothschild and gotten Mazzone. :D Well we missed out on Mazzone, but we can always trade MacPhail and Hendry for Schuerholz...but I guess that could be constituted as rape in most states.
  10. That Chandlers wrote about how the Chandlers want a break up!? Is that even allowed!!?!?! (look who wrote the article). . Well they did it so I'm guessing that it is allowed...I don't see why it wouldn't be.
  11. Well hopefully the Jaxx can win out the rest of the first half and the Lookouts split the rest of their games. After this kind of a drubbing I think the club will come back mean and raring for a fight....and I'm hoping it's a good thing.
  12. Thanks, where on cubs.com did you find it? I also just found this article that says our 9th round pick Cliff Andersen is expected to skip his college commitments and sign with the Cubs sometime this week.
  13. Great stuff T2E, I do have one question though; isn't Lansford's dad's name Carney, not Casey?
  14. I don't know if anyone has seen this, but the Chandler family is calling for the company to break up. Here is the link from Bloomberg for those who are interested, I wonder how this affects the Cubs' sale status?
  15. So of the 14, we know of Clevenger, Muldowney, Renshaw, Camp, Kopach, and Papelbon. That is only 6, 7 if they include Samardzija. Who else has been confirmed? EDIT: I just found out the 16th rounder Blake Parker has signed; Link
  16. The strike zone tonight hasn't been worth a damn. Atleast we got close....
  17. Excuse me. I think it is Sut and "Bobby". If they're dating, wouldn't it be spelled Bobbi?
  18. I'm really surprised he stole that base, the second I saw the pickoff move I thought he was out.
  19. What network are yall watching the game on? I'm on FSN Southwest and the Astros' announcers are doing a very good job calling the game.
  20. Does anyone else think Maddux is getting squeezed tonight? He's been very consistent on the edges and he's just not getting the calls that he usually does. There were atleast 2 pitches that he should have had strikes on in that last AB that weren't called.
  21. Why has Buford been the manager so far if it wasn't his intended job at the beginning of the year? He's done a great job, but with such inexperienced players I think it'd be in their best interest to have the same coaching staff throughout the season. Also, what position will Grissom be doing on the staff?
  22. That looks almost exactly like last year's roster. Something tells me it may be a bit out of date. True, I think it is just a list of everyone left in our system not currently assigned someplace else. There are several 18/19yr. olds on that roster though that I don't think were there last year. Well, Oscar Bernard is listed as a catcher on that roster. Oscar switched over to pitching this spring. Didn't know that, and I also wonder if Francisco is still in the system? Pretty much ever since he moved to P from 3B he's been unheard from.

  24. MiLB has P's Mark Pawelek, Darin Downs, Alfredo Francisco, Kyle Holden, Leonel Perez, and Luke Hagerty, C's Peter Farina and Oscar Bernard, and 3B Elvin Puello listed on Boise's roster. The AZL Cubs' roster is too long to post so here is where you can find it.
  25. He also gets walked routinely over 100 times a year; notice that towards the end of my post I added the disclaimer "assuming he doesn't walk or get walked very often".
