  1. You had it called for Dye but I guess it has the same effect.
  2. So they aren't letting the Cubs hit after the homer? They'll forfeit citing emotional distress.
  3. I'm actually kind of hoping that Dempster blows it just so that Ramirez gets another shot at the cycle.
  4. Don't forget to unplug it and disconnect the cable first. Since the 4th of July is coming up, you should tape on some firecrackers and such and light them before you drop it for effect
  5. It looks like Murton is #3 on the depth chart in LF now.
  6. He'd have more federal investigators on his @ss wanting to know what he's on that Bonds has right now.
  7. Not great...not terrible; I think it's hard to really tell what's going on with him until Boise gets back home so we can see how his swing has adjusted to the wood bat.
  8. Billek started and went 4IP allowing 2 runs with a 2/0 K/BB. Downs came in for him and has gone 4IP 0R 4/0 K/BB. Colvin is 2/4 with an RBI, Baez is 2/3 2R 2 RBI SB. Camp is also 3/4 with an RBI. Boise is winning 4-2.
  9. By knuckleball, I think they mean when he's gonna pitch his arm will dislocate itself and make it across the plate thus making it a "knuckle" ball.
  10. Pfft. Rusch would be lucky to put up those numbers. Actually Rusch's numbers in relief are almost identical: 0-1 4.91 ERA 1.50 K/BB 1.51 WHIP .271 BAA
  11. Some people have been upset with our closer situation as of late, but the Braves' bullpen is only 16-33 in SVO this year, their K/BB ratio is an absolutely horrible 1.54, ERA is 5.03, WHIP is 1.62, and their BAA is .271...it's like their bullpen is made up of nothing but Rusch clones.
  12. That's interesting, they just showed tht flags and they are blowing in ever so slightly. Anderson's ball really seemed to die at the end so that was part of the reason I was asking.
  13. Is the wind blowing in today? It seems like all of the deep flyballs are being knocked down so far in the game.
  14. Actually to Nevin, Murton is riding pine again.
  15. The leadoff hit was a soft liner back up the middle, strikeout was a nice fastball low in the zone, Konerko popped it up into Bermuda's triangle and no one got it, and Dye had a soft grounder between Ramirez and Cedeno; Ronny got a glove on it but that's it. AJP hasd a soft single past a diving Lee.
  16. I believe this came out awhile ago that he had a sprained ligament but he couldn't feel it. They gave him some rest and his velocity jumped a little but but not to where it was before. I'd be slightly surprised if he has TJ, but a cleanup procedure might not be out of the question.
  17. Damn you! I'm all the way down to 202 with an ESPN of 235. Chris Duffy was a moron and got himself placed on the restricted list. Pedro Feliz has also come to life as of late but I'm hoping he'll drop soon....I'll catch up with you one day, sethuel!
  18. Take a screenshot of it, then host it on a sight like photo bucket or image shack.
  19. Boise lost 8-4, every single pitcher tonight gave up atleast one run. Camp, Clevenger, Joseph, and Mercedes all had multi-hit games; Canzler and Joseph each had solo homers, and Camp had a triple.
  20. Pat and Ron said it was at his feet :?: That's how big Prince's feet are. You know what they say about guys with big feet "Damn, I hope he doesn't try to kick my @ss"?
  21. Who ironically is 14-15 in save opportunities this year. Dempster has more velocity and better stuff than Borowski, he just can't command his pitchers consistently.
  22. Better still: Bring Joshua to him. Fire Clines and promote Joshua to major league hitting coach. Lets just swap coaching staffs with Iowa. Joshua is a better hitting coach, Dunn is a better pitching coach, Quade's a better manager....heck whomever their bench coach is probably does a better job than Pole does; lets just clean the house that Dusty built and start over.
  23. What about Izturis and LaRoche for Ramirez? In 2007 put Izturis at SS, Cedeno at 2B, EPatt at Iowa, and then in 2008 decide which two of the three you want to keep. Replace Izturis with Kemp, Guzman, or Billingsley, and it would be a deal. Izturis is not a GOOD player. He is a younger Nefti Perez. The Dodgers wouldn't make that trade (and if I were them, I wouldn't). I think a feasible deal would be LaRoche and Miller for Ramirez, Williamson (once he's healthy), and low prospect. Btw CR, why isn't Miller starting in Las Vegas right now? After the injuries, his arm doesn't have the stamina to throw hard for a full start but he has the ability to keep the velocity in relief appearances and his arm has handled being used multiple times a week. He's been clocked at 97 mph this season. He's been in the mix to be called up a few times with the back end of the Dodgers pen struggling and Gagne hurt. By the way, Andy LaRoche suffered a slight tear of the labrum a few weeks ago. Right now, he's been resting the arm and trying to avoid surgery, but it's still a possibility. Damn, he does sound like someone the Cubs would trade for. I haven't really followed him closely, what type of injuries has he had. Also, is there any hope of him regaining the stamina to be a starter or is likely a reliever from this point on?
  24. #20 on the Hawks is now Mario Mercedes, Bernard is back down in Mesa and I believe he pitched in today's game down there.
  25. I don't see why it would be impractical. Changes in affiliation always take place during the offseason, and even without a change minor league rosters would change substantially before the next season due to players moving up in the system. And because players get traded away :x
