  3. This has kind of been hinted at a few times this offseason. They were cool with going all in for Wilson, but not so much for an unproven rookie. It makes sense on paper, but the principle of it all is terrible. That being said, Ben Allbright, who seems to be pretty connected says that he thinks Fields may still be on the board into the teens. If the Bears don't feel comfortable trading to 6 or 8, and he could be on the board at 13 or so, I could see the Bears jumping in front of NE to grab Fields and it wouldn't cost too much. That being said, that totally requires the football Gods smiling down on the Bears for the first time literally ever so....
  4. Yes sir and next week live on ESPN you can see my nephew (freshman LB) and #2 Sam Houston St. take on 3-time defending champions, North Dakota St.
  5. Never a doubt, Thunder Dan! Sent from my SM-A115AZ using Tapatalk
  6. What the hell ESPN+? Was watching the game on my computer, get in bed on my phone and it says its blacked out in my area. A game between Chicago and New York blacked out in Pittsburgh, but apparently only on certain media. Makes no sense. Sent from my SM-A115AZ using Tapatalk
  7. Didn't realize he declared for the NBA draft already. Absolutely horrible man. 19 year old kid with the world ahead of him. Sent from my SM-A115AZ using Tapatalk
  8. So uh, Kentucky's Terrance Clarke apparently killed in a car accident tonight.
  9. 6 games with 10 threes this year. 2nd season he's had more 10-3pointer games than everyone else has ever had.

Well obviously you have to trade Zach now. SMH Sent from my SM-A115AZ using Tapatalk
  11. Good to have speed, but I'd imagine he's still roster bubble material. With another deep draft I'd put a decent sized bet on Pace drafting a WR again. I actually kinda wanted Goodwin. He's a younger, faster version of whatever Ted Ginn was supposed to be for the Bears last year. Fresh legs after opting out. I think he's good enough to make the team if he's healthy, which is always an issue with him. But he's a good 4th WR. I think the Bears draft 2 WRs in this draft still. I think they get a slot WR early and a developmental outside guy late in the draft to kinda hedge against Robinson leaving after the season. They've all but said Miller is being traded. And I think Wims can get cut any day now. They actually can't afford Goodwin without a move because they have 520K in cap space, so I wouldn't be surprised if Wims is the corresponding move.

Zach LaVine is going to miss "several games" due to safety protocols. Operation: Top 4 Pick is beginning. :good:

  14. Honestly, if people step up (Morris, Barton, Gordon) I think they can still make some noise this season. Jokic is that good that they probably can win a first round series still. I think they can take anyone lower than them currently in the standings, except a healthy Lakers team. So if they stay out of that 4/5 matchup with them, I definitely think they can give the Suns, Clippers or Jazz a run for their money.

I don't think you're looking at this the right way. They definitely aren't going to fix the defense anytime soon, but when you can't do that you have to get even more offense. The Bulls are looking at 10-14 in the lottery right now. Certainly not a "pretty high 1st". That's an acceptable range to give up. There's still 5-6 teams that will definitely finish below them. My hope is just that they don't go to that back end of the teams around 20-24 wins right now and be in that 6th-7th pick range. I also don't think they left PG alone. They clearly tried for a couple players including Lonzo Ball. And I just never thought they matched up well in a trade with the Pelicans. And I don't think they necessarily thought they would be good enough to get into the playoffs in 2021. They definitely should be playing better, but they got rid of half the team and these things take time to come together. I think the trades were more of a move toward the 2021-22 season and beyond. I always took the moves as "if playoffs happen this year, great. If not, we should only be giving up a pick outside of the top 10". But just in case it did take longer they put top 4 protection in there. I'd still do the trade 100 times out of 100.

Well, that was a bad loss too. Still good shape for the play-in thing if that's still happening, but here's hoping for either top 4 or back end of the lottery Sent from my SM-A115AZ using Tapatalk

That wasn't a MUST win, but a game they really needed to take. Atlanta's a good team, but are one of the above .500 teams that I think the Bulls can beat in a series (not that they would actually play in a 7-game). I was hoping after 3 straight Ws they would be able to continue that momentum.

Just got home. Good Lord! 39 in the 1st half? Two fewer points than Wilt had in the 1st half of his 100 point game. Jimmy Butler with the team record of 40 in a half?
  20. I'm going to buy a Pirates jersey this year just on the off chance they let me (or one of the other 1700 in attendance) play RF for an inning or two. Sent from my SM-A115AZ using Tapatalk
  21. Vegas will be a tough ticket considering it will be the first year for fans. Tampa seems tough as well considering they are reigning champs and just hosted the Superbowl. Didn't have a full stadium last year and may be those fans last chances to see Tom Brady.

JR Smith thinks that's a heads up play.
  23. I dont understand the Thad Matta thing though It reads like Woodson at his age wants to get his alma mater on the right track, and then hope Matta can clear up whatever medical issues he has and take over? If thats not the case then it seems like Matta will be breathing down Woodson's back given the failed pursuit of Matta last week. Yeah, it feels like they are trying to do like the Bears should and create a "basketball operations" type situation where they dedicate part of the athletic department simply to get the basketball program back where it needs to be. Woodson seems like a John Fox type, older, NBA experience, hired to get the traditional culture back in place. Matta gives them an experienced basketball guy to help this along, or perhaps takes over to take the program to the next level once the culture is back.
  24. Can't decide if I like the hire or not. Leaning towards "not" considering his 63 years old, but I'll give him a shot. Gotta stop with these 6 year deals though.
