    Cards end up scoring a touchdown and xp on sergio and toddy...7-0 now in the 5th. Astros up 1-0 in the 2nd. Reds just underway with the Dbacks (Brandon Phillips is a scratch tonight). Milky playing LA later on.

    Nady would be extremely expensive to pick up. The Mets are really high on him and were extremely happy to pick him up for Cameron. Although he now hits 7th in their order, he is a valuable part of their club. Endy Chavez and Jose Valentin are their other OFs, so it would take at least 2 starters and a fill in OF to even get close imo.

    After reading certain things today, I would not be shocked if Dougy Mint from KC would be on our team by Sunday. While he is not a stat dream by any realm of possibility, it makes too much sense for the Cubs and KC not to be talking about a deal. He would bridge the gap till Lee got back and would give us the bat off the bench that Mabry is not providing at the moment. Also provides some more veteran leadership. But it still doesnt fix our problem at 3b.

    the Nats do have Royce Clayton on their roster. Dont think that they would be pressed to jump at the first offer for Johnson. Think that it would take significantly more than Perez and Hill for him.

    Well when your lead off hitter is on 4 times in a game and he cant score, something is seriously wrong in the 3 and 4 slots in your order. .205 is ridiculous.

    Millar is awful. Plus he would have to make the adjustment between leagues, so he would be doubly awful. Conine is interesting. Could provide a platoon at 1b to help with the lefties everyone is throwing at us. But the problem still remains the same....3b.

    I disagree. Juan is now just about up to last years performance already numberwise. I think he will get back closer to the year he had in '04. The help we need is at 3b and 1b in that order. Prior says that he will be ready by Memorial Day, so one of our starters needs to be moved. Edit: Sorry that is 3 spots on the 25 that have to be cleared this month. Ohman, Restovich, and one other in all likelihood.

    The funny thing is that C. Young is supposed to start on Monday for the Pads against the Cubs. His name is Chris Young, and god do i hope he is not related. Chan Ho Park (8-4), Jake Peavy (1-0), Woody Williams (2-8), and C. Young are their 4 announced starters. The parenthesis are their individual lifetime record against the Cubs.
