  1. It was VERY prominent in the 8th yesterday. Went around like 4 times. I was disgusted.
  2. While I don't disagree with your conclusion (about Redflash, or Kraus), this is not the way measure this.
  3. I'm assuming they're all busting out the powder blues?
  4. it's so hard to tell with him because when he's on he hits the ball really well, and when he's cold he can't hit a beach ball. he was lousy early on but for the last 2-3 weeks he's been really hot. at some point he'll go ice cold; last year there was just a lot more of the cold than the hot. hopefully this year it's more like 2007-08. I still believe that last year wasn't so much "more cold than hot" as much as it was "more injured than not".
  5. Well 7 K's through 3 innings, I fully expect that to mean 21 K's through 9 innings.
  6. I'm looking to trade two SRO tickets to game 5 next Sunday, for tickets to game 2 tomorrow. If anybody wants to see the Hawks clinch at home next week, let me know :D
  7. Thunderstix (Thundersticks?) should not be allowed.
  8. Did a quick Wikipedia search and came up with this. 3 times as the "1" seed, the Hawks lost to the "4" seed. In those days, you only played your division until the conference finals. 1986, actual conference match up, 2 vs. 8 1991, actual conference match up, 1 vs. 7 1993, actual conference match up, 1 vs. 8 I vaguely recall the 1991 series, and fully recall the 1993 upset, but never realized the circumstances fully.
  9. Soriano has handled Chicago as well as as anyone ever has. He takes his lumps and still goes out with a great demeanor. Interacts with the left field bleachers on the same day he is boo'd back to the bench. I'm sure that going home to a pile of money and naked women helps, but the guy "gets it".
  10. No, in the 05-06 playoffs the top 4 seeds in the West all went out in the first round. ahh, i was thinking anaheim was the first 8 seed to win San Jose beat Detroit as an 8th seed back in 94 it's happened to the hawks twice that i can remember. In 1991 and 1993 as the #1, the Hawks were ousted by the #4 from within their division. Which is roughly the same as a modern 1/8 matchup. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1991_Stanley_Cup_playoffs
  11. It is a SUPERstation.
  12. http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/b/bielemi01.shtml
  13. It's pricey, but..... http://lp.imageg.net/prod?set=key[name],value[FIRE+LOU0075]&set=key[number],value[10]&set=key[displaysize],value[500]&load=url[http://chains.imageg.net/graphics/dynamic/chains/p5460400_customback.chain] Edit: Screw it, copy and paste it your self.
  14. Also need to make sure everything is taken care with regards to the GM/Head coach physical confrontation.
  15. That doesn't make those people focused on the future, though. It might make Ricketts look a little better, but the new GM/manager are still going to make moves focused on the present rather than the future. That's not necessariliy true at all. First off, the manager is meaningless in this discussion. The question was about the risk of changing people before the draft and trade deadline. The interim GM, if you even need one, can be hired in that position with the sole purpose of keeping things moving properly, signing papers and whatnot. His power to trade young players for short-term help can be limited easily. So basically promote a puppet GM with no power whatsoever? It's going to be hard to find somebody willing to do that. Dibs!
  16. O/U is at 13, and taking the over is at -120. Crazy.
  17. As long as he's in there, I'm not going to get too bent out of shape about the position.
  18. They took it well when the "light bulb" turned on.
  19. I'm going to stick with amazing. Thanks though.
  20. Yea the weather looks a lot better now than earlier in the week. There is a chance for severe thunderstorms though so keep that in mind from the 2008 derecho that hit Wrigley http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yy_oX6SURRE&feature=PlayList&p=37DC100163AEFAA9&playnext=1&playnext_from=PL&index=34 That was an amazing night. The way Berkman reacted at one point was hilarious. They even resumed the game. and from baseball reference... Start Time Weather: 78° F, Wind 8mph from Right to Left, Sunny.
