  1. Just sounds like you don't know how to use the computer and iPod, thats your defect, not the items defect. I have never had a single one of the problems you have had, and neither has anyone else that I know that uses Macs. My sister and I have iPhones and they show up on every one of our computers. Also, in response to the bold part...learn to turn repeat off.....
  2. Fixed. <---Long time PC user and supporter, who hated Macs. Tried em, switched.... Mac>>>PC, even though I have both and its really convenient. Another note to add....Macs can run both windows and leopard at the same time... Also, the MacBook Pro runs Windows better than any PC does...
  3. I was playing Wow. I can't get back those either. But atleast I have some light leather to leatherwork with. omg nooo, quit before its too late!!!!!
  4. Could they have gotten a worse translator?
  5. I thought the Goldman Sachs guys negotiated his deal. They most definitely did :D
  6. The sadness of this heavily outweighs the happiness of yesterday... I feel like I would if I lost a good friend, seeing his potential and seeing that the Cubs had the gem of the entire league and going through all the crap we have to finally fix him and then do jack about trying to keep him to see if we could get any googly darn returns, and just to think what he could have been and still might be...it saddens me very greatly. When he played he was my most favorite Cub outside of Sosa, Ramirez, and Wood. If only he had stayed healthy.....we would be world champs one of the last 4 years....so long Prior....and because it would just kill me to see you live up to your potential somewhere else.....I hope you suck. The only bright spot in here is that just from getting to know him as a player on the Cubs, I feel decently confident he will either never pitch again, or suck, so fine....this still hurts though, I don't understand how it wouldn't hurt a real Cubs fan. Another thing, it just shows me how much of a real man Kerry Wood is, that guy deserves as much respect as anyone in the damn league, dude hats off to you, thank god we got at least one class act out of the two.... Prior go to your California trash and play for a cheap team like the Padres who will contend in the most boring division in baseball (not counting Colorado, and even they usually suck) and then get killed in the playoffs. I wish I had a time machine so I could go back and just trade Prior for Abreu, or Tejada, or even flippin Bedard straight up back then, idc.....or even farther back and poison Dusty Bakers food so the Cubs would never hire him and Prior and Wood would be lighting up the league.... Bah I'm just venting w.e, Prior do MLB a favor and just take your money and get out of baseball so you don't scam a new team out of a few million more dollars...unless it's the White Sox, Yankees, Red Sox, or Cardinals, then you can go ahead and take as much money from them as you want. Whoaaaaaaa. Hey. Hold on there. Read the NSBB member guidelines in my sig please. If you are confused by any of the rules and regs of this board, feel free to PM me with questions. My bad, I don't use profanity on here, this just slipped because this is as disappointing as anything that has happened in sports for me, wont happen again...
  7. If Mark Prior is successful for another team I will be tempted to send Jim Hendry anthrax.....THIS REALLY SUCKS
  8. This also hurts way more than the CPatt situation, I think people gave up on him because he never lived up to anything and people understood the Cubs did everything they could do try to have him succeed. With Prior, he more than lived up to everything, I watched him thinking I was seeing something special, and a talent that had existed maybe once or twice before in the history of the league, and to make it worse the Cubs don't even pay a measly 3 million bucks, which is nothing to them, to just see if the guy has anything left in him.....
  9. Add Cinci to that list, just so I can have the joy of watching Dusty end your career ASAP.

  11. The fans did not boo him for his season stats. They booed him because he was exactly the opposite of what this team needed, he had a horrible start, he got picked off repeatedly, he threw the ball directly into the ground or 100 feet over the cutoff man, AND HE WHINED ABOUT THE FANS IN HIS FIRST WEEK IN UNIFORM. I'm not going to say I approve of the booing, but this is a completely different situation. i agree. i think that his reaction to the early season boo-birds is what got him booed for the rest of his cubs tenure. Nothing to do with your post but I can't help but chuckle/laugh out loud nearly every time I see your signature.
  12. Does anyone know if you can make a grid? that would make these stats much easier to read.
  13. Don't know if this has been posted but these are next years projections from his handbook: AB H HR AVG OBP SLG RC/27 Soto 423 123 17 0.291 0.362 0.487 6.50 Lee 515 153 25 0.297 0.386 0.515 7.10 DeRosa 506 141 11 0.279 0.348 0.405 4.97 Theriot 512 145 3 0.283 0.348 0.371 4.73 Ramirez 568 168 31 0.296 0.355 0.532 6.83 Soriano 625 174 35 0.278 0.328 0.517 5.82 Pie 533 151 16 0.283 0.333 0.456 5.29 Jones 443 123 14 0.278 0.332 0.433 4.99 Ward 125 33 4 0.264 0.338 0.424 5.09 Fontenot 298 83 5 0.279 0.345 0.416 5.13 IP H HR BB K ERA BR/9 Zambrano 215 177 19 99 189 3.52 12.1 Lilly 208 196 31 77 174 3.98 12.1 Hill 206 173 28 69 223 3.50 11 Marquis 191 198 27 74 109 4.66 13.3 Marshall 102 100 13 41 68 4.15 12.7 IP H HR BB K ERA BR/9 SV Dempster 70 69 7 34 58 4.37 13.7 32 Howry 85 76 8 24 69 3.28 10.9 7 Eyre 55 52 5 28 50 4.09 13.3 0 Marmol 81 68 9 44 85 4.00 13.0 2 Ohman 30 26 3 15 32 3.90 12.9 0 Wuertz 72 59 7 32 83 3.50 11.5 0 Wood 60 48 7 29 65 3.75 12.2 0 Jones and such are still on here but its got the other players we care about too. Pie, Hill, and Soto are very impressive but Marmol would be a big disappointment and I would hope our big three hitters could out hit their projections. On Fukudome, PECOTA has him projected as .289/.401/.504, 21 HR/81 RBI/111 R/13 SB, if he plays the full season. The total average from a few websites for his stat line is: .288/.385/.476, 21 HR/81 RBI/95 R/7 SB They also rate him as a plus defender, and we know he has a good arm. His projected value is $45 Million/4 years, so we payed him around the right cost. I would be very happy if Fukudome plays at these projections.
  14. haha they would have sent him down and erased his name acting as if he never existed after his first stint, but the Sawks stuck with him and BAM, they got a very good major league ball player. Theriot really should never start another game for the Cubs unless about 5 infielders died at the same time, give Cedeno a shot PLZ. I mean even if he doesn't do well he probably would still be doing better than Theriot, and the potential upside that could happen would be huge. Cedeno is a decent gamble to take, Theriot is a gamble that probably will fail 95/100 times.
  15. if derosa's capable of playing ss, he damn well better be playing everyday. He did play there for a game last year. Does anyone remember which game that was? I can't say I remember it. I was at that game, DeRosa looked fine, and much better the Fontenot, who, for the first couple innings of the game, Lou thought was a big enough offensive upgrade to live with his defense as the every day short stop. If Lou was willing to give Fontenot a shot to be the SS because of his hitting, how in the hell is he not willing to give DeRosa a shot who would be an amazing upgrade over Theriot. Theriot is probably better at D at short but its not like hes a GGer, hes just ok, it wont kill us to not have his D. I'm pretty sure Mark has a better arm than Theriot too.
  16. Felix Pie. Is good, and I think he will be a very good ML player
  17. What's idiotic is not being able to comprehend that the reason people keep using Cedeno's 2006 and Theriot's 2007 stats is because those are the ONLY FULL SEASONS THAT EITHER PLAYER HAS TO COMPARE. It's really not that hard to understand or comprehend. We are not talking about the potential of the two players, we are talking about their production. Who's stats are the top lines? Not Cedeno's. So the animosity is because you think I'm racist or something? I'm not even the ethnicity you are implying! My guess is that many of the people that are saying Cedeno couldn't possibly as be as bad or worse than Neifi Perez(2006), are the same ones saying Cedeno will certainly be better than Theriot. And, Theriot didn't get the SS job last year because he was white or because he was gritty. He got it because when Cedeno and Izturis were struggling he took advantage of his opportunity and had his biggest month of the year. You'll have to excuse me if I don't join in on the Cedeno pity party, because he consistenly blows opportunities that he has been given with the Cubs. In fact, if I remember right, Lou gave Cedeno the first shot to take the SS job from Izturis last year. When Baker gave Cedeno a shot to play in 2006 Cedeno answered with a terrible season and had two ENTIRE months of sub .500 OPS ball. Even during Theriot's worst months this year, he didn't accomplish that feat. Cedeno is what? 5 years younger than Theriot? Put Theriot in the starters roll right out the gate at age 22 and he would get pushed around and demoralized. Cedeno is a much better player.
  18. Repeat after me: Cedeno was 22 in 2006. Ryan Theriot was 27 in 2007. Do you see how that maybe might be a factor in Cedeno's numbers? I don't understand how people can be this blind to fact. I don't give a rat's what Cedeno's age is. Until he proves that he's a better player than Theriot, he will be sitting on the bench. I'm sure he has upside, but we haven't seen it yet at the major league level. Cedeno is a much better player than Theriot. Cedeno could pan out to be an above average offensive short stop while I don't see Theriot ever being much more than he is now, a guy who you would love to have as your utility player, even though the perfect guy for that is Mark DeRosa, so Theriot isn't even the best utility player on the team. And not regarding this but I read someone say they don't want DeRosa playing in the outfield because "he is only passable", but unless I am mistaken I recall hearing that OF was his best defensive position and where he is most comfortable playing, not that I want DeRosa as an every day outfielder though.
  19. Hmmm.... Irony Well, actually, I'm not sure it's the Astros, but yea. Yeah that was awesome. Haven't been here long enough to know what you mean, inform me, I'm curious.
  20. My top end for Soto was to say if he really just clicked and he continued the tear he was on last year, thats why its the high end.
  21. I have no idea what this sentence means. I agree with the guy who works the Stros as far as lacking baseball ability to an extent. Nothing stands out as far as his instinct & he's not Theriot as far as fundamentals. But, he's strong and knows how to center and drive the ball and with those qualities combined with his versatility to play several positions, he's a quality guy to have. Until they upgrade, he's their best 2B option. hmm, yeah, like i said i dont know how to explain it, i know what i mean but i cant think of how to say it, i guess i mean like he's not the top tier in terms of speed, jumping, strength, and whatnot, but he has an ability to just pick up anything and naturally be really good at it that most people don't have, eh I guess thats how i can explain it. Edit: yeah I think your explanation about nothing standing out as a way to explain the lack of baseball ability thing.
  22. I'm as on the Soto bandwagon as anyone else, but those numbers are very unlikely to happen. Those are ROY numbers. While it's possible, I wouldn't pencil it in just yet. Yeah, next season I see something more like: .270/.340/.420 10-15 HRs those are likely to be what they are like, but can't I be a little optimistic? 8-[
  23. I'm as on the Soto bandwagon as anyone else, but those numbers are very unlikely to happen. Those are ROY numbers. While it's possible, I wouldn't pencil it in just yet. I wouldn't really be surprised by the low end of those numbers. .280/.360 with 18 HR? He'd have been one of the best hitters on the team last year... He actually probably would have been.
