  1. felix pie says hi Is that a joke? Come on. why? he has the potential to be good some day. but right now he isnt very good. Lol he is already about 5 times better than Theriot.
  2. felix pie says hi To even have the thought that Ryan Theriot is better than Felix Pie should make you lose all credibility, Pie could be an above average player by the end of the year, Theriot will always suck. Either way, Pie is already better than Theriot.
  3. LOL 5-3 ground out, Theriot really spanked that one...nearly topped 25 miles per hour
  4. The most worthless at bat I've seen in a while.
  5. I'm just guessing but it's probably because Ryan Theriot has outperformed Ronny Cedeno at the major league level. Just a guess... If Theriot is just short of terrible, that makes Cedeno what - far short of terrible then? This is not a difficult argument. Ryan Theriot is a below average baseball player - we all know that. However, he is the best shortstop the Cubs have and better than Cedeno. No, Ronny Cedeno is a much better baseball player than Ryan Theriot.
  6. no, he really isn't Agreed, Cedeno is better and so would moving DeRosa to short and starting E-Patt at 2B. He's only the best realistic option because our organization lacks any creative ability whatsoever. Jim is a moron, and Lou is just a silly old man.
  7. Very well may be. Doesn't bother me any. I'll always support a guy who plays all out and is a good guy. That's cool. I want to win. I want to win too and with our roster right now Theriot is the best we got which is why I started this thread. Theriot isn't a great player by any stretch but he's our best option. Which should inspire us to start a Jim Hendry is an incompetent oaf thread, not start an appreciation thread. Suckage should never be appreciated.
  8. Mojo, this made me smile, and I agree. Go to hell topic starter.
  9. Stop talking about whose on your fantasy team it doesn't matter, and now that you say it and because I'm a jerk I hope Bush gets smacked like no other, like 12 earned runs in 2 and 1/3 innings and then breaks his leg and can't pitch for the rest of the year. When the Cubs lose I'm not in a good mood, but remember no one cares about you're fantasy team. Order of priorities 1. Cubs 1000000000000. fantasy team When the Cubs are playing a player on your fantasy team you have to stop caring about that player and hope the Cubs annihilate him. The Cubs are the only thing that matters in sports. If the Cubs could only win the world series if it meant that all my other teams (Bears, Bulls, Hawks) never won a game for the rest of their existence that would be a sacrifice I would be willing to make in a millisecond. Ok, I'm getting too worked up, FLIPPIN WIN CUBS.
  10. Pie is better than Lofton by a lot. He's better now and if he adjusts he will be miles better.
  11. You would have preferred to see it fail? No, but just because it works one time doesn't mean it makes up for the times that it will fail.
  12. Just what we needed, a successful hit and run, now Lou will want to use it more.
  13. I wouldn't go that far, yet. Well, they are. I disagree, they really aren't. They have a much better offense and our pitching staff has Mrquis and Dmepster in it. They are better. I don't think that any other group of fans even posses the shortsightedness of Cubs fans. No they aren't better than us, I disagree. I wonder if the Brewers were flipping out last year when we beat them 2 out of 3 in the first 3 we played against them. Cubs fans are the masters of being over dramatic. How about we make a bet? I bet you that the Cubs will make the playoffs AND have a better record than the Brewers. I really don't feel like betting. If I am right I really doubt you would want to wager enough to make me feel good about it. Plus I am like days away from having a kid and don't really want to lose a large sum either. No thanks. Just for bragging rights, for fun. No cash. Ah that kind of bet really isn't fun for me. But, sure. Remind me if I win. I will, and if I win.
  14. That is very definitely not "typical Cubs". sure it is. it happened all the time last year. runners on but never driving them in. now Wuertz is sucking too. SWEET I don't know what your definition of "all the time" is, but the Cubs biggest problem is now, and has been for a very long time, a lack of baserunners. And today, the Cubs are OBPing .304, while Milwaukee is at .367. One is horrible, one is terrific. OMG REALLY OH GOD, WELL NOW THAT YOU HAVE SAID THAT I'M GOING TO HIDE, YOU WIN. one freakin game What a stupid post. Can you read? I was discussing Derwood's comment about the Cubs "getting a baserunner on every inning" while pointing out that their OBP difficulties would suggest otherwise. Seriously, read first, it could help. :)
