  1. It was philly. I bet security was cheering on.
  2. Why didn't anybody let the dufus know that the those teams fired their manager before making a run? That would have been great radio.
  3. I'd like Maddux to become the Cubs pitching coach whenever he retires. I'd even sign him next year as a player/coach (if that's allowed)
  4. Aren't we an abomination TT? Fearless prediction: Bad Livan Hernandez, turns into Cy Livan Hernandez, with 15 batters making outs on the first or second pitch. Fearless prediction #2: Zimmerman or Johnson goes yard on Zambrano Fearless prediction #3: Neifi is in the lineup and continues his suckitude along with Slapweaksauce Pierre.
  5. CubfaninCA drinking more kool-aid, why I am not suprised. They are AWFUL dude. Neifi. Beyond Awful. Dusty. Beyond Awful. Pierre. Manure Rusch. Awful Aram. Bad right now. Walker. Bad right now Cedeno. Bad right now Murton. Acceptable Bynum. Beyond Awful. Mabry. Beyond Awful. Blanco. Beyond Awful. Gene Clines. Beyond Awful Sarge Matthews. Beyond Awful. We didn't catch SD at the wrong time Dusty...er CubfininCA. Stop making excuses for this team like that moron of a manager.
  6. Who gives a bleep about defense right now. We can't score a friggin run to save our lives. I'll take offense over defense anyday now. And Miller's awesome game calling certainly isn't helping Doug Davis learn how to throw a strike.
  7. Why the hell does Hendry want to extend Dusty so bad? Does he not think there are better options out there? I just don't get it, and it makes me so viscerally angry to think about Hendry sitting back there hoping we win 5 in a row. In fact, it's making me actually cheer against the Cubs.
  8. Yea he's a motivator alright.
  9. How did I know Giles would be in the first post?
  10. Dusty (14 times), his wife, Darren
  11. See dusty, you don't need to be their friends, or be liked. You need to be respected and not walked all over. Grow a friggin backbone and quit making excuses for your team. Not sure how this has anything to do with Dusty. Cox was not quoted at all in your post and I fail to see how any manager could back up LaRoche for doing what he did yesterday, including Dusty. I think he was just pointing out the fact that the article said he "drew the ire" of Cox. And LaRoche was at least being accountable for his actions, saying that he didnt' go all out. Second part had nothing to do with Cox, but anyway... Yep. I can think of about 15 plays this year that should have drawn the IRE of Dusty Baker.
  12. I'm to the point where I don't care WHO it is, as long as it's not dusty.

  14. According to dusty, they've been hitting the ball hard and nothing is falling, and they aren't getting any breaks. Talk about not connected to reality.
  15. good to see Len and Bob making excuses for Dusty and Co. Too bad they can't be honest and just call out the team and coaches instead of blaming this run on being tired, and running into SD at the wrong time.
  16. agreed. I wish PJ was touring on their own. I can't afford the Joint bill with Tom Petty. the whole tour isn't w/ tom petty. i can't remember who is opening in chicago, but it's not him. and since i've been a fan club member since the late 90's, i'm fittin' to have some great seats. :D I should have clarified. I live up in Minneapolis now, and that's a joint bill. I really wanted to go see em at Alpine again. They've played some great and memorable shows there - Ice Bowl, the show in 2003... i was thinking about going to xcel, but it is pretty expensive. i'm kinda disappointed they're not doing a wider tour. last time they even came to council bluffs, iowa. des moines just got a new fancy arena, so i was hoping for a local show. i saw them four (?) times on their last tour. Well if you come up, I'll buy you a beer before the show. That will be after I go to all 3 Twins-Cubs losses. deal. my brother's going, but if he can't find anyone to take his other fan club seat, i may go. Holy crap, My Morning Jacket is opening for PJ in Chicago!!! You lucky bastard. Definitely go check em out. I'd send you a show, but it won't get to you in time. They are AWESOME.
