  1. Why would they bring Astacio in instead of Wandy?
  2. i don't know but if you find it, ship it to the Northside. We're gonna have toletrate being the SUCKIEST team in the majors for some time now. And deal with White Sox fans. I hate them so much.
  3. what an incredible turn. damn. he can't hit, but he might have saved the game.
  4. doesn't really matter if you walk and can't execute by making contact.
  5. Did Mcarver just suggest the Astros were "thinking that if they didn't score they should go 3 up 3 down"? That's the most [expletive] thing I've heard from an announcer. Ever probably.
  6. Imagine if the Cubs were playing. I don't think I could have taken it.
  7. I'm starting to want the Astros to lose, they are so freaking not clutch at all. For Christ sakes. I think they might be worse than the cubs offensively. I really do.
  8. Tavarez should have stolen 3rd. He probably could have scored on that because Uribe was off balance.
  9. They should do the Ow-wee- oh Maglio chant except make it Bee-Gee-oh.
  10. Talk to a latino, the correct pronunciation is PAIR-ez.
  11. With the help of Home Plate umpire Ray Charles.
  12. Talk about luck. Would the Cubs EVER get this much luck?

  14. Couldn't agree more..He would put a winner on the field... Yeah, the Mavs sure have racked up the NBA championships since he bought them... Mark Cuban is entertaining but until Dallas wins an NBA title they're just another team. And they'll still be just another team next spring. He's committed to putting a winner out there. He's as competetive as they come. He won't be satisfied in just selling out Wrigley. He has turned them from a crappy team into a very competetive team. He cares about winning. Regardless of results, he's committed to winning. Whether he's won it all, or not is irrelevant - it isn't easy to do so. It's his attitude towards competetive sports that's attractive. Sometimes I have absolutely no idea where you come from.
  15. yep he started a month before the end of the season. The results were seen with the first two homers of the year coming in the nasty conditions during post-season. Do steroids help vision, because if so, the umps in the post season could all use some juice.
  16. The white Sox have more horeshoes coming out of their asses than any other team that I've ever witnessed this year.
  17. I'd rather drink my own urine than root for the Sox. Go Astros.
  18. come on man, all your posts indicate you are MUCH smarter than that. These are professional athletes - fan reaction shouldn't impact their production at home that much. That point holds about as much water as the "team chemistry" argument from last year.
  19. No, BBB, I know they can't just try and outddo St Louis, but I was trying to make a point that it might be, realistically, one of the things that kicks Hendry into paying market value for the one impact player in this years crop. Well, wouldn't it be somewhat nice if there was a small leak or two to the baseball press gods that the Cubs were at least slightly, remotely, considerably and minutely interested in one, Brian Giles? Why do I have to read that all these other teams are already expressing interest in taking him away from home? It's probably considered tampering to even talk to him at this point, but I see nothing wrong with posturing. Bruce? Please?
  20. Rookie to Advanced Advanced to Short Season A Short Season A to Low A Low A to High A High A to AA AA to AAA AAA to Bigs What is the conventional wisdom on the easiest levels to move between? I've always been curious about this. Thanks.
  21.    Brad Lidge must be a gutless choking dog. I think that's the vernacular.
