  1. He looks somewhat different, like he's shortening up or something. I haven't noticed any falling off to the left, but whatever he's doing is looking good so far.
  2. Jacque hit it hard, but right at Marlon Anderson.
  3. Outside of Hinrich and Nocioni, I don't see anyone being untouchable.
  4. The Cubs are dead last in runs scored and it's not even close. It goes like this... CUBS 143 Pittsburgh 159 Washington 170 Sad..so tremendously sad. Even if the Cubs were to get Kerry and Prior back and pitching to their full capabilities, with the offense the way it is, this team still isn't going anywhere. Yeah, but tonight they've actually been patient at the plate and taken some walks and worked counts. Maybe someone slapped Dusty with a big handful of sense? How many times have we said that in Dusty's tenure here?
  5. But we know how Aramis can hit when he's on, and we know that this is all we'll get from Neifi.
  6. Woah, we're getting on base, bunting, stealing, getting 2-out hits? Is this the 2006 Chicago Cubs?
  7. I went to last night's game, my first game this season. I'm going to be the start of a big turn around. 30 game win streak, let's do it!
  8. I'm headed off to the game in a few...my first time at Wrigley this year. I'm not looking forward to it, sadly. :(
  9. That is a great way to define the luck that is the Chicago White Sox. Buerlie has two first and second with no outs and gets out of both jams. Not to mention his error helped six of the seven runs go unearned, so even his stat line looks good. It's time to be completely fair. Last year's team was pretty lucky, I know Sox fans that have admitted that, but this year's team is amazing. They are the best in the league, and I will actually be surprised if they don't win it all again.
  10. Man that would look nice anywhere on the field right now. Fixed.
  11. OML WE SCORED IN THE FIRST. OML CEDENO LED OFF. OML WE ARE GOING TO THE WORLD SERIES
  12. I was at The Cell the second weekend of the season this year. I hadnt been there since 2003, and that place looks great. Step into the gate, THEN knock the park if you still have a problem. Seconded. They've made some great changes in the past few years. And as for Sox fans, I know quite a few of them, and while you can certainly fault their judgement, for the most part they're just regular people. All the Sox fans I've met here at school are nothing but classy. They don't even bash us anymore...they just pity us...which is actually worse. Sigh..
  13. Thank god the Mavericks are on tonight. Congrats Bonds for getting to 715.
  14. I love Chris Harris. This just makes me love him more. I wish this first round would get over, my Mavericks are getting bored sitting around at home. :D
  15. I retired the Believe Bracelet for the 2006 season today. A lot earlier than I did last year. They could win the next 20 games and I still wouldn't put it back on. This team has no heart, no fire, no desire to win. It's embarrassing.
  16. And the Believe Bracelet is officially off until the 2007 season.
  17. Out of all my favorite sports teams, college and pro, my biggest team accolade in the past 8 years is Mizzou's Independence Bowl win this year... :(
