  1. What're the odds that we pick him up to have a nasty rotation of Hill-Guzman-Lima-Rusch-Williams ?
  2. We'll Cubs fans have taken 97+ years of this, so I'm sure we can get another 100 years or so.
  3. My two least favorite things in baseball (seriously, its not just because of this inning): 1. The Hit and Run 2. When hitters pull an outside pitch Leave it to the Cubs to accomplish both.
  4. If Barrett had the tools of Neifi Perez, Freddie Bynum, or Jose Macias, Baker would be helping him out all over the place.
  5. I didn't see it, but apparently Anderson went to town on him, and he fought back in true Tavarez style. You mean he karate kicked him? Whats with this hatred of Mabry? I hate him more than EVERYONE ELSE believe me, but he actually took Anderson to town from what I saw. Anderson gave a weak swing, Mabry ducked under it and drove him to the ground. Then they got covered with players, so I couldn't tell. From what I saw, Anderson was just running through there, throwing haymakers like a bat out of hell. I didn't see Mabry throw anything. AJP and Mabry shouldn't be suspended or fined, Barrett should get about 10 games, and Anderson about 6-8, if you ask me.
  6. Thanks....I've got some of the best insult people in Cajun land working for me now. Let us know what you come up with, I'm really excited for this, haha.
  7. His mother's name is Carol, his wife's name is Lisa, I believe.
  8. If we come close to scoring tomorrow, does their catcher get plowed? And how many times is Z going to be throwing at someone tomorrow?
  9. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ctsYoWLgtuY
  10. What did Ozzie say? I don't really remember, but I think Ozzie was saying things like it was a heat of the moment play, and emotions were running wild and stuff, and these things happen in baseball. He said a lot more than Dusty just going "Meh blah asoidjfa alsdka runs Neifi fiojasd speed tools merf." Or whatever he says when he gets interviewed, that's all I hear.
  11. Maybe Barret should hit Dusty. (Not because of what happened, but because Dusty sucks, and I hate Dusty, and I want him to leave Chicago). . Please Barret? Hit Baker? Make Darren cry. No, let me hit him. I'm pretty big.
  12. What should he have said? Barrett really helped the team. He not only fired up the opposition, but we are going to lose his bat for a while. Maybe Dusty should have hit him. I don't really know what he should have said. Maybe how Dusty has his support, and it was a heat of the moment thing and Michael was just into the game and the intensity of this series. I don't know, but when the manager of your crosstown rival defends your player more than your own manager, you know you have a problem.
  13. You mean our best hitter currently? Everyone can stop ripping on Jones, besides baserunning he's playing fine.
  14. Dusty just said it was a clean play and Michael overreacted and stuff. And while it may be true, he still needs to defend his player, regardless of what happened.
  15. They just interviewed Ozzie and it seemed like he defended Barrett more than Dusty did.
  16. Listening to 720 all game, Hughes said AJ was walking to pick up his helmet. That's pure speculation. He may have, he may not have been, Pat Hughes certainly doesn't know any better than anybody else that watched it. Whether you believe it or not (and I am not sure I do), AJ said that's what he was doing on the Fox postgame. The Helmet WAS behind Barrett though. Yeah, i think it's safe to give AJP the benefit of the doubt on this one. BTW, AJP was just interviewed on ESPNews, and apparently Barrett said this: "I didn't have the ball b----" Then jacked him.
  17. Just one more until maybe we can stop hearing about it for awhile.
  18. Blanco is a solid back up catcher. He is very good at defense, which Barrett is not. I'm going to assume you meant to make this thread about Bynum, Hairston, Rusch or Neifi.
  19. I don't blame AJP for crashing into him, he was in front of the plate. But the slap was pretty uncalled for, and I'm going to assume he said something. Plus, I don't know what he was doing in walking towards Barrett/Cubs dugout. Oh well, Barrett just did what everyone person in MLB has dreamed of. Props to Michael.
