  1. Impressive streak, congrats.
  2. Wow what a call in the GT/Georgia game.
  3. Just don't come to this thread ;)
  4. That's nice that he's offering at all, but no.
  5. i had to watch on gamecast. womdered what happened there. we had to keep the ball out of daniel's hadns to win, and we didn't. he just owned us. our dumb penalties didn't help. congrats. Thanks. You guys have a stud there in Cornish. Your QB(s) were unimpressive though, don't know what the deal was there. Did you ever see a replay of what happened with that offsetting personal foul? I was looking back for flags when it happened and only saw Perry get body slammed, I couldn't figure out how he committed a personal foul, and how the officials didn't have the common sense to make them dead ball fouls. We did a good job of bouncing back though, it was a good day. Louisville fumbles away to Pitt, who just threw an end-around pass to take the lead. ETA: Which reminds me, the reverse with a flea flicker on the end may be my favorite offensive play of the season. Kudos for opening up the playbook, Pinkel. Yeah that was awesome. They pulled out all the trick plays today.

  7. Mizzou beats kU for the first time in 4 years, 42-17. Daniel looked great today, and they completely moved at will on offense. I wanted 50 points, but we got screwed on that on the weirdest call I've ever seen. 3rd down and about 4, throw a short pass over the middle to Ekwerekwu, he gets passed everybody and goes for about an 80 yard TD. But there's a flag. They call unsportsmanlike conduct on kU after the play and 15 yards will be tacked onto the kickoff. Then, they say the play is under review. They review something, and they say there are now offsetting unsportsmanlike conduct penalties and we'll redo the down. It was bizarre, and I still don't get it.
  8. I've had a Ramirez jersey since 04, and I'm getting a Soriano jersey shirt for Christmas.
  9. I'm glad someone agrees. I don't understand the infatuation with Lugo in a position that he's played a total of 1 time in his Major League career, especially when it's more vital that we upgrade at SS than it is in OF.
  10. Just say no to Lugo in CF Lugo at SS + Jones in CF >>>>>>>>>> Izturis at SS + Lugo in CF
  11. Missouri State is whooping #7 Wisconsin 45-32 at half.
  12. Well with this market, 5.3 mil doesn't buy much anymore ;)

  14. I had it for the first time last year, I enjoyed it.
  15. you could put a lot of things in place of Furcal in that sentence. What about syphilis? Syphilis works.

  17. Well, maybe we can make it up with Meche/Wolf/Lily or a trade. One of those three and Westbrook would suffice, but Schmidt would give us a solid #2. If we have a rotation of: Z Hill Westbrook Meche/Wolf/Lilly Miller/Prior We have one proven #1 and four #3s at the very best. If we had Schmidt, we'd have a proven ace, a solid #2, and three #3s at the very best. Big difference there. I think at best, Hill could prove to be a top of the rotation starter. At the very best. Otherwise I agree. I think we'd need to make a run at another bat if we don't get Schmidt though. I agree with everything you said, Hill could finally have a huge season. He showed flashes last season of being a stud. If we don't get Schmidt, we HAVE to sign Lugo for SS, move Izturis+Eyre/Ohman out for Westbrook, and sign Meche/Lilly/Wolf, we have a decent rotation and a very solid batting order. With our bullpen looking impressive like it does, that could be a very scary team in the NL Central.

  19. Man I hope this isn't true. Schmidt was a must-sign IMO.

  21. It's an extremely small price to pay. Aramis could still be very productive, but he won't get this money again. If he opted out, it would be because he's tired of Chicago.
  22. Aramis, what'd you think of the Soriano signing? "I jumped up and down." Awesome.
  23. Damn, where did Neifi finish?
  24. Well Jim, if you could land Cabrera, I think you'd change your mind.
