  1. Offense better be ready to make up for this. This 7 points is on them.
  2. Vasher + Benson. Stupid Longhorns.
  3. WMU is supposed to be (for whatever it's worth) the best team in the MAC, so I'd expect them to put up a fight. Then again they lost to IU at home yesterday. I'm not expecting a 49-0 route, but I think we'll come out strong in front of the home crowd, hopefully the defense will play a complete game, and we'll come out with a nice W.
  4. I don't know how the Bears work with their TEs, but whenever we had a TE out there in high school, if he saw a guy lined up in front of him or saw a guy blitzing it was his responsibility at the very LEAST to get a chip block on the defender before he goes out on route, or stay in to block completely. It's also the job of the outside tackle there to call out a shift to get the outside guy, with the guard getting the tackles responsibility and the center taking the guards. The QB also needs to be able to notice that and audible out, as someone already mentioned. Hopefully it's just a combo of SD having a great DL and it being the first game of the year.
  5. This o-line is killing us today. Rex is trying but no ones going to do that well with this kind of protection... Don't like the right side of the line at all but good lines would struggle against this front-4. Err, it's a front-3, right? I haven't really been paying attention that much, but are they using McKie as a blocker at all? I think it'd be helpful to keep McKie and/or Clark in to help block a little bit.
  6. peterson saves rex's ass. i wish this o-line would hold their blocks.
  7. I love Babich based on that reaction alone.
  8. Yeah that was Bernard's fault, but there were still 2 defenders over there. Not very happy with either of the guys on that play.
  9. Old habits are hard to break.
  10. I like that by Rex there, move a little bit. Get a long scoring drive going here, even if it's just 3. Take some time off the clock and give the D some rest.
  11. Got to avoid third and long situations. We aren't doing that. Can't get anything going.
  12. Shhhhh you didnt see anything ;)
  13. if he busts an 80 yard run for a TD next possession it's on you.
  14. get hester some damn blocking so he can run
  15. I've got a big giant mancrush on this entire defense.
  16. We've got 2 more games and a bye week to get the defense going for conference play. I expect a big win this week over W. Michigan, in front of the home crowd for the first time this season.
  17. Can we get Rex some front side protection? Clark has to stay home when he sees that guy blitzing, or at the very least chip-block that guy before he goes out on route.
  18. also: TTU up 3 at home against UTEP K-State only up 10 at home against San Jose St in the 4th. Luckily Big XII powerhouse KU is upholding the conference's reputation by beating up on it's second consecutive junior high team. hahaha UTEP just tied it, and K-State just scored another TD and they are pulling away.
  19. also: TTU up 3 at home against UTEP K-State only up 10 at home against San Jose St in the 4th.
  20. Ben Jarvis Green-Ellis is a real good back, but if this is really the Mizzou defense then Oklahoma is going to run for about 500 yards, and Javorskie Lane is going to eat us alive in every sense of the word. I really hope they can figure out the defense before conference play starts. We better stomp W. Michigan and Illinois State these next two weeks.
