  1. I'm watching 2006 Bears highlights in between half innings to keep my mood balanced for the evening.
  2. Me too. I'd rather have Ward getting all this PT instead (or Murton, doesn't matter).
  3. Can we stop this? We all know it's not going to happen. They basically promised Soriano the leadoff spot, and he sucked those two games he wasn't there, so Lou is going to go off that. I don't agree with it either, but Soriano is our leadoff man for the rest of the year.
  4. hahahah bob brenly was not happy with that.
  5. Girardi was my first choice in the offseason so I went with him, but I'm not against Piniella in any way (besides last night :().
  6. I'm a student assistant in the Media Relations Department and my main supervisor (the Director of Media Relations) told us that "it will more than likely be a night game" and we've been in talks with ABC and ESPN about it for awhile now. This is all assuming that Mizzou is still undefeated and Nebraska is still ranked (which should happen even if they lose to USC this weekend).
  7. for once it would be nice to beat a crappy team.
  8. Lilly. Z still kind of scares me in "big" games. I'm always afraid he'll pump himself up so much that he'll take himself right out of the game. I know Z is capable of completely dominating, but like someone said earlier, I fear the walks. Lilly always seems to be calm and collected. I wouldn't mind him being our #1 if we make the playoffs.
  9. This offense is going to have a big series. Let's get a sweep.
  10. Except Lilly isn't mediocre and he never has been. If you look at his career stats prior to coming to this season, they define mediocre. ERA+ since 2001 (his first full season) 83 120 98 120 80 109 118 (this year) Two years below league average, 1 year just about league average, and 4 years above league average. Yeah, he's mediocre alright. Edit: Also, his first below average year was his first full season, and 2005, the year his ERA+ was 80, he was injured and only got 25 starts.
  11. Big, big win today. Just what we needed! Go Pirates!
  12. I'd rather win the Super Bowl.
  13. Now we're just getting embarrassed.
  14. Great, get a stop and then screw it up. Dumb.
  15. Running backs cost us this game, no doubt.
  16. that is some of the worst playcalling i've ever seen. what the hell.
  17. What is this crap? Throw the ball.
