Has your opinion of Pinkel changed at all though? They are good enough to take the North and have a 9 win season. I just don't know if I trust Pinkel to not screw it up and lose a couple of games they shouldn't lose. The only thing that has concerned me about Pinkel so far this season is the way he goes completely conservative on offense once we get a big lead in the 2nd half. However, I was comforted by the fact that Pinkel came out this week and took the blame for it happening: I like hearing that. I think he understands the urgency that everyone is feeling towards this team. This is the most talented team we've had in awhile, and it could be our best chance for awhile to win 9-10 games and the Big 12 North. In the three years I've been at Mizzou, Pinkel has definitely improved as a coach and it's good to see him taking responsibility for the lack of consistent play in the 2nd half of games this year.

Where would you prefer to talk non-Bears football?

I'm a Bears fan, but I don't care about them nearly as much as I do about the Cubs, so I'm with you here. I would much rather discuss football here with other Cubs fans who have different football allegiances than sign up for a Bears-only board, so it'll still be a while before I show up on WCFB. It isn't a Bears only board, though. Even though it's primarily intended for Bears fans, fans of other teams are welcome there just as they are here. And there's a subforum set up specifically for discussions about other teams.My point was, regardless of team, I prefer to discuss football (and any other random topic) here with other Cubs fans. I agree. This board pretty much removes any other need I have to join another message board. We can talk about other sports, music, tv, movies, etc. here. I like having that option. I'm a member at WCFB, but I'd almost rather just talk Bears and the NFL here. -
The Cards aren't dead until after this weekend series. That said, if they don't take at LEAST three of four, their season is done.
