It's going to be a retardedly high scoring game. I mean, how many deep balls did Illinois beat them with? im sure some of that was due to mizzou not expecting illinois to come out throwing like they did, but still, no excuse for a top-10 team to be getting thrown on like that by juice williams of all people. Our offense is going to be flat our ridiculous this year, but our defense has some important holes. I wouldn't be shocked to lose that game, but I also wouldn't be shocked to win it like 50-40. I have confidence our DBs will figure out how to cover someone before that point. At least to the point where they are only getting burned by 5 yards instead of 15.

The game is sold out, so good luck. Can get the tickets easily, just a matter of if we want to spend how much they are going for. Well you're lucky. My girlfriend's family lives outside of Dallas and she was going to go down to see them and go to the game, but tickets are going for outrageous prices so I dunno if she's going to.

One of my biggest problems with the Mizzou secondary was how William Moore was used. Every time I looked, he was blitzing. He's our biggest INT threat and our best player in the secondary. We really should've kept him over the top to help out our CBs who couldn't stop getting burned.

Good god...what an ugly game. Chase looked like crap. Threw too many short balls in crowded areas, and his passes weren't sharp at all tonight. Derrick Washington is going to be a great RB for us, the kid is exciting. I'm pretty sure Maclin is fine, but even if he's a bit sore, rest him. He can sit the next 3 games for all I care, just don't rush him back. Pretty impressed with the OL tonight, all things considered. There were times they didn't look great, but I was happy with it considering there was a LT and a C making their first collegiate starts. And as Sulley said, with how far our QB lines up, they just have to be adequate. Our linebackers are awesome. I love them. I think our cornerbacks were on drugs. At least I hope that was their problem. That was easily the worst performance I've seen out of a secondary group since I've been here. They better figure it out soon, because that was inexcusably bad. On the Illinois side, Benn is a sick, sick, sick player. He's ridiculous. And Juice showed some signs of greatness out there after a somewhat shaky first quarter. And I had friends texting me after Mizzou went up 25 in the 3rd saying things like "game over!" but I was a bit hesitant on that, because like last year, I figured Illinois would fight back. Of course they did. All in all, a fun game, but it completely wiped me out. I'm glad that it's over for another year.
