  1. That final score of the Missouri game is a bit misleading and you know it. UI scored a meaningless TD with no time left to bring them back to within 10. And I believe Maclin missed a big portion of the game, too. Was the game a blowout? No. But Mizzou won it fairly handily. C'mon. Don't put me in the lame position of having to defend those clowns. In summary: Donglashings aplenty from the Big 12's top 3 if they played in the Big 10. Aww how nice. Want me to get you a Mizzou shirt?
  2. I don't see how sitting him would help. You can get a very solid rotation going with Idonije, Dusty, and Tommie. You wouldn't have to play Harris constantly, but you'd still get him some solid PT so he doesn't get rusty from 2+ weeks off. If he's not 100% healthy, sitting him could help him get back to dominance in the 2nd half. And with a dome game on carpet, this may not be the best week to bring him back. If he's more or less healthy, I think you should get him some playing time in this game. He should be hungry and refocused after a bad start, but the longer he stays away from the team, you may risk an increased likelihood of "losing him" with all the personal distractions. Well right, I agree if there is a major risk of re-injury, you shouldn't play him. However, if he thinks he can go and the medical staff thinks he can go, they should at least get some PT.
  3. Okie State's going to be a tough game for us. We're definitely a better team, but as TT said, they've got the offense to hang with us. It'll be a good test for our D going into Texas next week. I'm also glad we're playing a real team this week, before Texas. If we were playing some crappy team, I'd fear we were looking ahead to much. Playing a team like OSU makes us stay focused on this game and worry about winning this game.

  5. I'm not too concerned in that aspect..from what I have seen teams have been blizting Orton just as much as Grossman, the difference being Orton does a much better job of hanging in the pocket and getting rid of the ball. Oh yeah no doubt. Orton knows when to step up a bit to avoid the sack and he doesn't panic like Grossman did with pressure around him. I gotta tell you, I've been very pleased with Orton. I think he can actually be an average NFL qb. That throw to Sheed down the sideline yesterday was a thing of beauty. I was like, "OMGZ, that's like....an actual NFL QB type throw with great timing and touch and everything!!" Yeah, Orton's been good to watch so far. Hopefully he keeps it up. I've done that on a few balls Orton has thrown this year. He's impressed me quite a bit with some of his throws.
  6. I think its more the special teams being different this year than Hester. You could very well be correct.
  7. Hester really doesn't look the same as a return man.
  8. Go Horns. Go Tigers.
  9. Orton's like a real QB or something
  10. I freakin' love Matt Forte.
  11. He keeps going to the sideline and I don't know why. I've always felt he was better in the middle of the field.
  12. This playcalling is puh-thetic.
  13. My friend and I were talking about possible moves after the game as well. I've given up on the fact that I'll ever be able to just quit the sport or the team, but this offseason is a much welcomed break.
  14. that's what gerald perry always talks about!
  15. Honestly, if players can't get themselves pumped up for the playoffs and a chance to end a 100 year drought, then there is no helping them getting pumped up.
  16. Cubs fans to Soriano: "Be patient at the plate."
  17. When I saw this thread, I was going to post this. Well done.
  18. how fitting that our most overpaid, overrated player, has a disgustingly pathetic AB.
  19. You, sir, are a lot better than me. I enjoyed the regular season, but I absolutely need a break.
  20. 164 games and people still don't know how to spell Fukudome.
