  1. As mentioned, Maclin is announcing tomorrow. He's holding a press conference. I can't imagine you'd hold a press conference to announce you were staying, so I'm assuming he's gone. Mizzou homerism aside, I'd love for the Bears to look at Maclin or William Moore in the first round.
  2. if Ski has an Anime-filled game thread I saw we all boycott it.
  3. The key is 6th inning which means that they see him as the garbage time reliever. I know, I just thought it was hilarious and weird that Hendry felt the need to say what innings Vizcaino would probably pitch in.
  4. LOL so Vizcaino is primarily going to pitch in innings where relief pitchers are needed. Got it.

  6. Has Terrell Pryor ever taken a hit?
  7. Is hendry pretty much done after Bradley/Marquis? Is another SP after the ownership situation is resolved unrealistic? The Peavy thing, from what I've been told, probably can't happen until the ownership situation is resolved. However, Hendry will try to add a starting pitcher not named Peavy before spring training opens. So are you saying that Peavy is no longer an option, or are you saying that until the ownership situation is resolved, Hendry will try to find someone else for SP?
  8. I'm fully expecting the "Theriot shouldn't have the most AB's on the team" comment, but what is wrong with a .387 OBP guy (85 runs) leading off? Could be worse. There's always something to complain about, I'd save it for something more worthwhile than Theriot. No one is really expecting Theriot to repeat last year.
  9. Alright good stuff. Let's get Marquis' deal done and see what else this offseason has left for us.
  10. Just cause Missouri's out of it after November doesn't mean the rest of the months aren't exciting. That really has nothing to do with it. Maybe it's because all of the games are on the weekend, but I find myself getting more excited for big CFB games than I do CBB games. Half the time I don't watch/don't know when the big CBB games are, and I know far more about CFB players than I do CBB players. Plus, football is 1000x the sport that basketball is.
  11. The Ravens are going to the Super Bowl, so I'm going with them.
  12. College basketball is exciting/interesting for one month a year. College football is exciting/interesting for five months a year.
  13. While I agree with what he's saying, and while I don't believe Levine, I'd believe what Levine had to say every single time over Olney. I don't get what Olney has to do with any of this. Did you not read the whole e-mail? He says it's hard to believe that Levine would have info over "Rosenthal, Olney, Heyman, and the beat guy from each city." While I agree that I don't think Levine has any info here, if Levine came out with a report that no one else had, or Olney came out with a report that no one else had, I'd believe Levine every time over guys like Olney. Just because Levine isn't a "big time" ESPN guy doesn't mean he can't have info. No I read the whole e-mail, I just think you're putting too much into what he said. He wasn't even saying Olney was more reliable or better than Levine. Olney was just an example and probably just a name that came to his mind. His point was if what Levine is saying is true, SOMEBODY else would have picked up on it by now. He's not saying Olney specifically would have picked up on it by now, he's saying that at least one of the hundred of guys who cover this stuff would have heard about it by now if Levine has. You're right, I probably am reading too much into it.
