    Free agent Matt Forte hinted Wednesday that he'd at least consider holding out of 2012 training camp if the Bears franchise tagged him and did not make progress toward a long-term extension. "A lot of teams franchise guys so that they can get a deal done or negotiate a deal," Forte explained. "It just depends on what the motive of that is. ... I wouldn't say holdout, but people probably wouldn't know where I was." Forte was half-joking, saying there's a "pretty good chance" he'll be tagged. The Bears do not even have a GM right now, so no contract progress is being made.

    Nebraska is just the worst. They're like Wisconsin without any of the offensive skill or efficiency. The two Nebraska-Wisconsin games have been completely unwatchable. just wait til they beat you by something [expletive] like 52-48. they're so annoying.

    I'm beginning to think that an email to this guy could get him to tweet just about anything, not unlike the guy who tweeted about an NFL draft prospect that didn't exist just because someone sent him a 1 line email. Seems like it. I miss the good ol days when MLBTR was the same way.

    I've loved watching the 49ers all season long but I think I realized why this past week - they really remind me of the 06 Bears. OK QB, good running game, great D. They're fun to watch.

    i hardly (probably never) watch espn or other shows that will provide super bowl "analysis." i also dont listen to sports radio, so i'm not worried about getting it there. if they discuss it during the game i'll have beer, so it'll be ok.

    i like stevie johnson, but hes not really elite and he makes a lot of dumb mistakes it seems. i'd still take him if we drafted someone in the first two rounds though

    I don't disagree, they have a huge need at WR, but they have a huge need at a lot of places. I could see them loading up on picks with a team that picks in the teens, getting Floyd and having more picks to use on other areas of need.
