Ha. Still doesn't explain #2. Unless by "lead" they mean "had the highest." They don't: http://www.uicflames.com/sports/m-basebl/stats/2009-2010/teamcume.html
Sosa is #1. They should retire his number, put up a statue and rename the new stadium in Schaumberg "Sosa Field." I'd put Wood second. I wouldn't be upset in 3-5 years to see Kerry Wood Day at Wrigley Field, that's for sure.
Terry Francona was kind of questioning it on ESPN as well. He's waiting until Theo decides he's had enough of Sveum holding the spot and decides to bring Francona in
Sveum is clearly just a placeholder until the Cubs get good. He's not entirely different from the last five schlubs we've run out there at manager, other than his defensive strategies.
Biggs: Lot of questions about WR Alshon Jeffery after he left 1st minicamp practice with what team said was leg cramp. Knock on him was he could get out of shape but 2nd rd pick from South Carolina looked to be in fine shape. He’s got terrific size and moved well for big man. Question will be can Jeffery gain separation from the line of scrimmage when the bullets are live. A big WR is a big target for DB to get his hands on when ball is snapped. This speed bump today wasn’t because he is not in shape.
Kerry Wood postgame ends 50 seconds in, when reporter mentions glove: “Irrelevant, dude, and why the (bleep) would you even bring that up?” http://www.twitlonger.com/show/hbcf4h
