  1. Haha, I don't think I'll ever forget chanting that that night. What a great game. I feel compeled to add that while Vance and Mizzou were busy hurling mean-spirited and hurtful insults at Mr. Pierre, I was notably absent; having retreated to the back row of the bleachers to indulge my tobacco addiction. Now, if anybody would be interesting in purchasing some land for development in South Florida, just PM me.
  2. I'm like everyone else around here, waiting for somethin gto happen. In the mean time, I decided to check out exactly what kind of numbers the Cubs put up in the first 2 slots. In the 1 hole we put up a solid .299 OBP, and the 2 hole a whopping .314 OBP. My God, let me hit in one of those slots, I can talk a walk, I swear. That being said, we have in-house options that can perform in that role. I know you're upset at the thought of Neifi hitting 1 or 2, we all are. However, acquiring Pierre (or someone of his ilk) just to pacify Dusty is flat out foolish. Go get, or attempt to get, the best hitters available for the positions you need. Hnedry needs to stop trying to fill his romantic idea of a "leadoff" hitter, and just get quality bats. Wow. Sorry about that, I guess we're all a little on edge, huh? Using Pierre's career stats (yes, I know that's a stretch considering he had a down year in 2005), replacing our production at the leadoff position with Pierre's numbers raises our team OBP to league average. Improvements at RF, SS, and maybe 2b will give us a pretty good offense.
  3. That's not entirely true. Those guys Tinker, Evers & Chance were a bunch of jack rabbits !! 1908 Team stolen bases CUBS 212 Philadelphia 200 Cincinnati 196 Pittsburgh 186 New York 181 St. Louis 150 Boston 134 Brooklyn 113
  4. Hey.... I'm starting to get good at this !!
  5. 58 Passes Attempted by the Packers is the 2nd most ever against a BEARS team.
  6. Well, let's see.... 188 total yards, 0 for 10 on 3rd down, no offensive touchdowns, but we've got a 12 point lead ?? Takes me back to the mid 60's !!
  7. I've been waiting for that play all afternoon !!! Nathan Vasher for President !!
  8. What a hit on Favre !! Let's go defense !!
  9. Can we sack Favre in the endzone ??
  10. I don't have the TV sound on.... I assume they just said that Jack Concannon passed away. What did they say about him ?
  11. Wow !! 3 First downs all on the same possession !! This must be what they call a drive, no?
  12. That's 7 first downs for the BEARS compared to 17 for Green Bay.
  13. How 'bout a TD by the defense ??
  14. BEARS now 0 for 7 on 3rd down.
  15. KA-BOOM !!
  16. Pretty nice punt there by Maynard.
  17. How long before Lovie says something like, "I just want some guys who can catch the ball" ???
  18. Geez !! I'll bet you'd bitch if we hung you with a new rope !
  19. Kyle Orton's QB rating for the first half....... 3.6
  20. Favre thew up a perfect pass to Charles Tillman who returned it 95 yards, and then Robbie Gould hit a field goal right away because there was 6 secs. left. Wow, how come Tillman couldn't go all the way? #30 on the BEARS had a chance to block Tony Fischer around mid-field, but he just gave him a little push, and Fischer came back to make the tackle at the Green Bay 8 yard line.
  21. Isn't Maynard the holder ?
  22. I did so want to see the BEARS defense score !!
  23. Tillman should have had that one !
  24. Hell of a stop by Boone !!
  25. Well, maybe the defense can score a TD ?
