To be fair, once you watch like 55% of your games (all the WGN and CSN home games, plus the occasional national game) in HD, the other half or so look pretty freakin crappy. Yeah, I'll live. But once you get used to HD, other stuff looks pretty crappy. Like VHS compared to DVD. -

FWIW, on ESPN tonight they said no team has come from 3 down in the last week to make the playoffs since WWII, and no team has come back from more than 1 1/2 down in the last week to make the postseason since the realignment. God knows if a team could facilitate it, it would be the Cubs. The odds are stacked in our favor, but I'm not counting my chickens until the team storms the field.

Peavy is scheduled to pitched Wednesday against the Giants. True, but if the Padres are still fighting for it, I wouldn't be surprised to see Peavy on short rest.
