I don't want to make this about Illinois not being slighted by an outside force, but that wouldn't have been as much of an issue if McCamey and Tisdale didn't suck so badly. McCamey was terrible, and that plays were run for Tisdale over and over and over when he was so over matched inside and clearly couldn't hit anything about gave me an aneurysm. I'm not trying to be illiniguy here, but Bruce's loyalty to his seniors really hurt us last night. Cole and Davis were fine, but DMac and Tisdale just killed us. The problem is the only other one doing any scoring was DJ, and he took 13 shots. Only one who seemed to deserve more tick/opportunities was Head, and I think that's a really tough call to sit McCamey for him. McCamey was a more difficult situation to address, but there wasn't much of an excuse to keep feeding Tisdale in the post so he could continue to brick his little hook shots. It became painfully clear pretty early into the second half that he had no touch last night, and Tisdale with no touch is totally worthless. Something else should have at least been tried, but it wasn't, really. It's all conjecture and sophistry now, but I think we all take solace in the fact that we won't have to see them in uniform anymore.

This a 100000000000000x We need a brute in the post. Leonard can be that, but he's awfully raw. And have you ever seen a player go inexplicably from elite to completely mediocre in such short order as DMac?

Why? It is the perfect compliment to their "can't score" offense. It's not can't score, it's won't score. Keep feeding the guys who haven't hit a thing and exclude the guys who have. I want to kick Weber in the junk.

The upside is that we won't have look at the seniors after tonight. This was a totally blown opportunity, and it has me on the verge of sulley-like apoplexy.

We're handling KU defensively, which is why it is so frustrating how badly we're playing offensively. And Tisdale is making me hate him.

We played awful offensively. Outside of the first few minutes, we played great defense. If we keep that up and some threes drop in the second half, we could win this thing.

Well, that was known long before the game even tipped. Yeah, but Syracuse is one of the Big East teams that really get pimped. I should have said Big East "horses". I'm hoping for the conference to be shut out of the Elite Eight, at least the final four.

Nope, they definitely do. 30-second timeouts generally don't go to commercial but every single one does in the tournament. And in the final seconds of nailbiters it's totally aggravating.

One thing I hate about the tourney: all the [expletive] commercials. They shoehorn commercials in at every conceivable opportunity. Or is it just me?
