    Doubtful. Edmonds will be here, suck, and be gone in less time than it took for the Roberts thing to finally wind down. Holy crap, you were actually able to decipher that? It took me till 3 hours after the first time I read that to realize what that meant. Haha. The Roberts fiasco is seared into my memory, so I guess HC's post just clicked in my brain :)

    Look for it in the next few hours. Look for this after the first game Edmonds plays: 5/17/08 Chicago Cubs The outfield at Wrigley spontaneously opened up and sucked Jim Edmonds down to hell in his first inning playing for the Cubs.

    IMO we tend to overvalue kickers & RBs, and undervalue QBs and WRs. I would say we undervalue LTs, but I think we at least addressed that in the draft this time around. I feel like our defensive priorities are much more in line with what I expect. Of course that's really not a surprise.

    If Edmonds does anything at all, I'll probably get to see Felix start for the Iowa Cubbies at the end of June. I'm not really happy about that, but it's something.

    At least that guy got to see the Cubs *IN* the World Series, in 1918. At this point I'd almost kill just to see that.

    I mean I'm not in favor of busting the guy off the team or anything. I think he's done a fine job considering he came in with no credentials and has upped his game at least a couple levels. He's a good story, I like Robbie. It's just an unexpectedly large amount of money considering his shortcomings, that's all. The Bears have done a pretty good job covering those shortcomings, by having some of the best coverage people in the NFL on kickoffs, and limiting his chances from beyond 50 yards. But they should be able to still see it for what it is, and it looks like they do not.

    yeah i am not pleased. you know this summer when there's a heat wave the cubs are going to play like 15 home day games in a row too. I can't watch day games during the week, so I'm not displeased.

    OK, forget the Cards, and forget the Stros (whenever they come to the realization that they aren't good). But, as expected, here come the Brewers.

    theriot the last 28 days: .370/.452/.480/.932 yeah, that's a guy you want bunting. why not bunt with lee and ramirez in similar situations, whille you're at it? As I said before, different situations for different management. No, I wouldn't bunt with Lee or Ramirez. Would I for Theriot in the right sitation (to get Lee, Ramirez and Fukudome possibly runners in scoring position when playing for 1 run to extend a possible weather delay) - yes? Theriot sucks, he still can't hit, sample size....."yeah, tha'ts a guy you want bunting." So, now he's good then? Which one is it? So please, explain why lowering your chances of scoring one run makes sac bunting a good idea Because it's raining and we needed the 80's british dude to say "let's get some runs!"
