  1. Well he got his men, but it wasn't easy. I'll take it.
  2. Z is struggling terribly today so far. Is the gun slow today too, or is Z's fastball off kilter a little bit?
  3. Calling Mr. Zambrano. You are late for your start. Some other guy has been filling in for you. Please report to the mound as soon as possible.
  4. Yep, now let's start with a clean slate and have the real Zambrano make an appearance.
  5. I've heard it won't be for awhile. Whether that's true or just a rumor is another story I guess. DirecTV has done a good job, but they've dropped the ball on WGN HD.
  6. I'd like to see some numbers on how we've done against pitchers with below 100 ERA+ vs. the rest of the league. I wouldn't be suprised to find we're doing significantly worse, and significantly better than the league against above 100 ERA+ pitchers.
  7. You mean you aren't fooled by the hypnotic eyes, telling you to forget that the programming is still bottom-of-the-barrel? Darn.
  8. http://crystalsiberians.com/KittensNov07.jpg Things not looking so good for them right now.
  9. Judging by this start? I'd say chances are good. Holy damn cow.
  10. This is beginning to suck.
  11. OK maybe I should do something else this afternoon. Good Lord.
  12. Especially when going to the bullpen is likely to be an upgrade.
  13. Wow what a frustrating inning. Two scalded balls right at defenders, baserunners on and everything. This isn't going to be another one of those stupid unlucky offensive days is it?
  14. Smoked, but right at him. Fuku works it full though...
  15. Brenly is doing a lot of rationalizing on this topic right now. Yeah. Fortunately Snell was out of control enough that Lee didn't need to swing.
  16. I trust this is not how Soriano envisioned starting off his day.
  17. Sori being Sori, unfortunately. 1-0 Pirates on a "here have a free one" run.
  18. Yeah. He'll likely be going up against St. Clair. Which of course means whoever wins the QB battle has earned the right to be carted off the field in an ambulance on opening day. "Congtratulations, you won the starting job! We will pray for you and your family." LOL. I wouldn't be so concerned about Freeney. I'm not sure he'll be quite ready for game action by then. I believe he'll play, but I don't have high expectations for him in week 1 or 2. His best use for the Colts right now is to just step on the field. If he does that, then the Bears will probably doubleteam him, which should leave the incredibly productive Mathis 1 on 1. I didn't know Freeney was hurting, but he could probably beat St. Clair at far less than 100%.
  19. Is it though? Public squabbles aside, Stern likely realizes more than most just how much Cuban has done for the NBA in that area of the country. His support shows the other owners that whatever incidents have happened with Cuban as an NBA owner, the benefits have far, far outweighed the negatives.
  20. Ian Snell this year: 6.04 ERA 70 ERA+ 1.86 WHIP Yeah. 1.86 WHIP. Just relax and let this guy beat himself please.
  21. Well, now that Duncan's out for the year and his inevitable collapse into oblivion is complete, I'd say Ryan Ludwick's place at the "Cinderella, the clock is striking midnight" table is ready.
  22. You may be giving Ned too much credit. How do you know the pitcher didn't do that on his own? pitchers generally don't just throw at players on their own. they'll sometimes do it if the opposing pitchers have been throwing at his teammates, but to throw at a player who's hit your other pitchers well? that usually comes from the manager. Not only does Ned know how to tell his most worthless pitcher to throw at an opposing hitter, but also he knows how to run out of the dugout and argue incredulously as if he didn't tell him to do it. So major double-whammy points there.
  23. Yeah. He'll likely be going up against St. Clair. Which of course means whoever wins the QB battle has earned the right to be carted off the field in an ambulance on opening day. "Congtratulations, you won the starting job! We will pray for you and your family." LOL.
  24. Good thing he did. If Dusty had started him higher in the rotation the abuse points would likely have built up even more at a young age. We could be looking at all of the "big three" destroyed by Dusty instead of two.
