  1. Wow. So I'm not at home this weekend. And the Bear game isn't on where I am....and no DirecTV. Not to worry. There's NFL Sunday Ticket Supercast -- which lets you see all the games right on your computer. I didn't even know this thing existed. It's awesome. I'm saved!
  2. Dang, I wanted to post how happy I was that they took it to the Suns, but then they do this.
  3. Yeah. There really is none.
  4. I'm pretty sure that's how you are about every sport, brobama.. How can you tell? :hello:
  5. So what's actually happening? No offense to the beat reporters on the radio, but I'd rather stay away from that kind of rumor-mill this time around. edit: that goes for mlbtraderumors.com too....
  6. I'm soooooo not ready for another one of these roller coaster trade deals right now. Please end this quickly one way or the other.
  7. I can't even imagine doing this. Assuming you'd get a livable salary, what a great job. Whole lot better than getting shot at. I think it would kill my interest in the game, in the same way watching the same great movie 10,000 times would ruin it for me, or listening to the same good song 10,000 times. Certainly much better than getting shot at though.
  8. accuweather is calling for a high of 42 and no snow. Possible snow saturday night. I hope the field is in better shape this week. Horrible conditions do not play to the Bears strengths. Ya, "Bear Weather" is a giant myth...especially when playing the Titans who play like the Bears of the 1980s with great running game and defense and average to below average passing game. The better the field conditions are, the better chance that Grossman hits a few deep balls, which is pretty much the only chance the Bears win unless the defense channels the early 2006 defense. Don't you dare take Bear Weather away from me!
  9. I'm really curious if this would fly if legally challenged. You have a motivated seller and buyer in agreement, and that usually trumps when taken to court. I will be interested to see how far Cuban will take it then. He knows the other owners are saying this -- yet he continues to bid, continues to push.
  10. That is scary. A 16 game winner as your 5th starter. Actually my rotation would be 1. Peavy 2. Zambrano 3. Dempster 4. Lilly 5. Harden. Until Harden proves he can stay healthy and can go every turn, you should send him down to the 5th spot and rest him from time to time. The Cubs could possibly win over 100 games with that. The other teams in the Central have to be Howrying their pants if this deal goes down. The problem is, who is going to show up to hit the FREAKING ball in the post season. An as-of-now-undetermined lefty bat of consequence?
  11. Just out of curiosity, how many more weeks should we keep saying this before concluding that he's not going to? Tommie looked great vs. Detroit on Sunday. He looked quick and healthy. 2 tackles, 1 sack -- bringing his season total to 8 tackles, 2 sacks. Might be better than earlier in the year, but I'd hardly call it "great." Kris Jenkins has 21 tackles right now, and he's a run clogger. So, we're looking at a boxscore to determine how well a d-lineman played? Harris should have been credited w/ 2 sacks first off, but the QB may have made it back to the line of scrimmage. He was in the backfield quite frequently, and the Bears not coincedently maybe had their best game putting pressure on the QB all year. It was clear Sunday that Harris made the D better, 3 of the 4 quarters. It's certainly one factor, is it not?
  12. This turned out to be a very entertaining game. Let's see what the kid can do.
  13. 2 Whiffed tackles on that play, *PLUS* McDonald apparently didn't feel like playing football anymore, simply quit and watched the guy run away from him. My Lord.
  14. Right on cue.
  15. Time for the Browns to collapse, and the Believeland fans to suffer another crushing emotional experience. Kind of like us Cub fans.

  17. Quinn looks decent. Hard to tell what I'm seeing because Denver is abysmal on D.
  18. I can't even imagine doing this.
  19. If I was Fisher, I'd be tempted to paint a red "X" about seven steps behind the line of scrimmage and just tell the D line to rush to that point.
  20. I don't know. I just need to shut up becuase I want to say all kinds of really nasty things -- but then I step back and go, "OK, let's give it a month or two." All I can say is, for a sport that really isn't my primary interest, it's amazing how much frustration I feel over the Bulls. Even when they're winning. Maybe I was just really spoiled with the MJ years -- although I remember being really frustrated then too. When it comes to basketball I don't know what it is, I just get upset following it :)
  21. I actually watched quite a bit of the game last night. I also feel sorry for Rose, having this as his rookie team. I just hope Pax can somehow put a few more pieces in place to get some kind of balance on the roster. At the moment I'm ready to trade the bulk of our roster for one all star player. I can't believe we gave Deng all that money -- he's completely useless. Is he going to do *ANYTHING* this year? Remember when rumor had it Kobe wouldn't come to the Bulls if Deng wasn't there? I'll bet Kobe wouldn't say that anymore. When do we get to play other bad teams again? At least then I can watch and pretend we're good for a few hours.
  22. Just out of curiosity, how many more weeks should we keep saying this before concluding that he's not going to?
  23. That would be the coach. This team is garbage. Vinny better have some kind of plan to start developing these guys or it's going to remain ugly as hell. That's right Mr. Del Negro. You wanted to lead an NBA team? Time to start leading then, bud.
  24. Yeah, if you put Jim Hendry into a situation such as that which Beane finds himself, you would not likely see him have much success. If you disagree with that, then fine -- but that's definitely my opinion of the man. That said, I agree he hasn't done all bad things in *THIS* situation. And you can't expect him to make a great decision every time.
  25. The fact that after all this time & effort we're back to "a work in progress" is endlessly frustrating to me. What we're saying is that all these years since 1998 have been one big fat stinking failure. Good job Bulls. Let's start another 10 year cycle of "rebuilding" only to find that our current crop of youngsters blossom on other teams while we bring up another group of draft picks once again. And round & round we go. Seriously. None of you share my frustration on this? This is all just great with all of you? I can't believe that.
