  1. Impressive drive, especially punching it in right through the jets' dline
  2. To me Orton's success reflects horribly on the Bears. It pretty much confirms what many of us have suspected all along: the Bears have no aptitude when it comes to identifying and developing QB talent. While it's good that we picked up Cutler, it seems very clear that we could have ended our long QB struggles with a better organizational focus on the position. And it just never happened. That's really sad. Benson I view as something else. He made things difficult for himself as much as the team didn't accept him. The Bears have no long history of RB ineptitude. I do think Kreutz is incredibly overrated at this point in his career, especially by the Bears. I wonder if we would even miss a beat if a switch was made at center tomorrow. I suspect that we wouldn't.
  3. The volume of bad football teams in the NFL this year is hopefully an anomaly. I don't look forward to more Sundays like yesterday.
  4. Yeah. Those are pretty tough games now. Nobody will be able to say we haven't played anybody.
  5. I just don't see 5-8 teams managing to win less than 5 games. Maybe I'm being overly pessimistic on the Titans right now, but winning five games would be quite the accomplishment. A more realistic number right now would probably be 3. You could be right, but if I had to bet on one of these teams picking themselves up and having a half-way decent go of it, I'd pick TEN or CAR. Tennessee because I can't see Fisher letting them give up, and CAR because I feel there's some decent talent there. I can see CLE, BUF, STL, KC, OAK just giving up. Maybe DET too, although they've been a little more game IMO.
  6. But these other clubs probably can't say they have a single win on their schedules. That's the point. If they beat anybody it will be a surprise, unless they play each other.
  7. Looks like Lovie is 3-2 in games following a bye week. But he's 2-0 in the past 2 years. I think on their home turf, Atlanta has a clear advantage in this one. We'll see.
  8. i think that's still highly unlikely, probably more 6-8 range Yeah, there are a bunch of teams that are so bad they will likely have the Titans beat by the end of the year: KC CLE STL BUF OAK DET I expect these teams to squeeze out a few more wins than the above, even though they have poor records right now: TEN CAR MIA That would put Tennesee in the 7-9 range, pretty much like you said.
  9. Please beat Minnesota when you guys play them. Thanks. I guess that will depend on whether they are totally healthy or not. Apparently Seattle can only play when healthy, and nobody else has injuries to deal with, so anyone who goes up against them when they aren't 100% is just lucky.
  10. So much for this theory. Although STL did move the ball against Minny. It might have at least been a decent game to watch if STL didn't keep blowing themselves up after getting near the goal line. I think this is the worst weekend of NFL football I've ever seen in terms of entertaining matchups. A couple of the games turned out to be close, but most of it was just slop. Even the Sunday night game. Tonight's game doesn't look like much either.
  11. I'm starting to worry for my bears next week. Nice job having no time outs to challenge in the first half 9ers.
  12. Or, in a dream scenario, get the Twins to rally and take the series. Then, with the Cards and Yanks gone, I don't care what happens, as I'd have no rooting interest. I'd get to watch some carefree (to me) baseball. That would be great, although I've given up hope for the twins
  13. Denver's unis are terrible but I sort of like ne's old ones. Maybe even better than thir new ones
  14. Nice 0-4 tackle there by the KC corner.
  15. Sooo awesome to see this happen to both the Cards and BoSox. Now if we can just get the Angels to beat the Yanks.
  16. Interesting to see KC put up a real fight.
  17. Ball on the 40 with 26 seconds left and you can't figure out how to get the ball to TO even once? I'm not seeing why Buffalo should allow Jauron to coach another game. What would be the point? Sure he doesn't get all the blame, but his teams are always so inept offensively. Why did you acquire TO if not for that sort of situation??
  18. I'm not sure I've seen a team so systematically turn it over on the goal line like the rams today
  19. This is one fuuuuugly Sunday of football.
  20. Wow welcome to crap-matchup Sunday, everyone. At least there's atl/sf and den/ne later
  21. I hope so, but I don't see it happening. They're a pretty damn good football team. I'm kind of in the same boat. They might just rip off a 13-3 season in which case the Bears are probably in for a wild card battle. I'm hoping Childress will hold them back from making the necessary midseason adjustments. Personnel wise they could definitely have that type of year. Plus not too many outdoor games in the cold to mess with Favre. They have their own playoff misery to worry about, replete with fan neurosis and incessant media questions about when they are going to blow it. If they do get in, they might just pull a big blowup like they have at other times. Plus, Favre has really been sketchy in the playoffs.
  22. We got 'em right where we want 'em!
  23. Damn Wings.
  24. I don't accept that we would lose to Cleveland or Arizona. I'm also not all that sure about Cincy. I think we have a real good shot at that game. Yes, they have been good, but this is not a team that has shown sustained success yet. I think there's a decent chance that they fade. I'll go 3-1. 2-2 at the worst, as you said.
  25. That was fun to see. Cardinal failure is so tasty.
