  1. Even he waffled on it. Greenberg picked the Bears. But.....he's Greenberg.
  2. It's great to pick up these wins knowing we've got a big gun who hasn't even taken the ice yet. Please keep this going.
  3. I was just thinking "now don't let them get a quick one right back..." *sigh*
  4. If hub would have given a point or two, it would have at least qualified as an argument. One of my biggest problems with him is that it appears obvious he feels he's above even having to justify his point of view. He's hub arkush. Giving valid reasons is for all you peons who are beneath him. Anyway... I sort of liked the 12:00 start time 2 weeks ago. Waiting all day for bears football kind of sucks.
  5. He's very quick to point out Bear weaknesses, but then when someone calls him on it he gets really defensive. I hate that the other guy (was that Zaidman) basically serves as his brown nose, agreeing with everything he says. It's a really bad segment/show. I like Zaidman when he does a little 10 min Bears report during one of the other Score shows...he's good in that role. But he's a terrible host. Hub's argument against Knox last night was "he's still a rookie from Abilene Christian." Come on. That's just plain old lazy.

  7. I think I can enjoy the Yanks/Angels. Rooting for the Angels of course. Dodgers/Phils is more of the same, but I think that has potential to be a decent series too. I'm sort of liking these playoffs, now that the Cards/Red Sox are gone.
  8. Just use the replay system that is already in place, folks... Please.
  9. That entire 2001 Rockies game, complete with Mongo's calling out of Angel Hernandez from the booth, to the wild Ricky play at the end, has to be it for me. God I wish I was at that game.
  10. The final analysis on Miles: He blows chunks. /Miles
  11. They just need to get this thing done. The bankruptcy is a formality. Nobody seriously thinks it means what a bankruptcy traditionally means.
  12. At this point that doesn't surprise me.
  13. Yet ANOTHER easy game for you lucky Packer fans.
  14. Yeah, I'm not sure where that comes from, but it needs a revision. The part about needing to come set for a full second before the snap is simply wrong. Teams have a player moving parallel as the ball is snapped all the time -- no penalty. Looks like the wildcat is a valid offense with the right personnel. The Dolphins really have good people to make it work.
  15. Which boards? Umm... I went to FalcFans and the Falcons team website forum Forte was featured in the highlights from the Detroit game. They probably haven't watched much Bears football this season.
  16. I'd also be pretty shocked if Angelo went out and got TO. But then again, I was absolutely floored when news of the Cutler trade broke.
  17. It was on Versus, which left out us Directv people. Next two games (Weds, Thurs) are on CSN. Ahh. I would have missed it anyway because I always forget to check Versus.
  18. The suggestion is to do what you can to make the team better. Keeping TO does nothing to help the team win, trading him for picks that could make a difference going forward would be better. The fans might feel slighted early, but in the long run they should realize the benefits. It is risky though because Buffalo cannot afford too many more PR hits. The fans in Buffalo are already feeling betrayed by having one of their home games taken away from them for the next few years (and the 9 straight non-playoff years have not helped). Sure, they would likely eventually come around, but only if there is enough of a fanbase left at that point. They bought those tickets expecting to see TO. I understand that you do what you have to in order to make the team better, but I sure wouldn't want to step up to the podium and try to explain it to the fanbase. The other thing is, those fans were expecting to see TO get the ball, at least some of the time. It's complete insanity in my view to not even have plays where he's getting the ball, especially in crunch time. That team is a total disaster, and Jauron is captain of the sinking ship. I'll be shocked if he gets another shot at HC.
  19. They'll likely give Huet some time, see if he's able to get on a hot streak. He did that at times last year. I'm not a fan, but it's a tough situation. Not going to come back from many 0-5 deficits, obviously. Very exciting last night, and I missed it. Was that game televised?
  20. 7 TD vs 1 INT too. That's a pretty damn good ratio for early season. His yards per catch is up too, from 6.4 under Turner to 7.5 with the Broncs. I'm pretty much in agreement with everyone on Turner. He's obviously not a good OC.
  21. I love the comment about TO already helping the Bills sell out their stadium. So the suggestion is that the Bills slap all those fans in the face for their support. Nice.
  22. It's pretty clear Turner's best hope is that Cutler just turns into an on-the-field OC.
  23. That was triple coverage Ginn blew by.
  24. Turner didn't materialize out of thin air. It's the org. itself that hired him, re-hired him, continues to believe he's good when he's not. I think we all agree Turner's a problem. It's really true we haven't had a true franchise QB since Luckman. That's more like 60 years, not 20. Turner can't cover that long a period. Only systematic, organizational ineptitude can account for that. When Cutler finally retires, I fear you will again see a lengthy period of bad QB play on this team.
  25. Figures Edwards would be good suddenly after leaving Cleveland.
