  1. Indeed. We can still do it.
  2. We got our answer last night: the Bears are at best #3 in the division. So all that's left is that elusive Wild Card berth from 3rd place. Not easy to do. I know it's early in the season, but gentlemen, these two teams ahead of us aren't kidding around and aren't going away. Any hope left lies with taking care of the Vikings, relegating them to last place for the remainder of the year, and then setting our sights on being consistent enough to unseat challengers from other divisions for that final WC spot.
  3. It's about to explode again. This thing is going to happen. As Ronnie once said: I KNOW IT!
  4. That's very interesting. If you're hiring Theo, you're hiring his judgement on who should be on his team. That may be part of the negotiations, but it can't be a road block from our perspective. Might be for the Sox though.
  5. After a year of absolutely nothing, EXCITEMENT IS BACK!!
  6. Wouldn't be complete without a little Bostonian sour grapes. Now I know it's true. Welcome, Theo.
  7. Wow, this would be amazing if true. Kaplan on CTL talking about Lackey and Carl Crawford. Of course.
  8. Oh God game over. And that's the difference this year. Our defense just gives up these plays. We can't stay in these games like this with our crappy offense. Game over, good night, gentlemen.
  9. Cutler is like the classic Greek tragic hero. Trying his best, but the deck is stacked against him, he's going to fail no matter what.

  11. Nope. Lions are the new sexy. They get the calls, we get the scraps.
  12. God, the duplicate posts due to DB craziness are becoming annoying. Just sayin', Tim. Need a fix...
  13. Play defense, try to get a turnover. In other words, play Bears football.

  15. Ouch. 3rd and long now, might as well just run it and punt.
  16. Rodgers had the worst line in the league in 2009 and still put up gaudy numbers. I think that was his most impressive year as a pro by doing what he did with a makeshift offensive line. He still had some of the league's best receivers. Look, I'm not going to be drawn into some kind of Cutler vs. Rodgers argument. Aaron is better. Period. But any discussion of Jay Cutler must include the ridiculous and outlandish pressure he's been under since the time he's joined the Bears. Anyone who doesn't frame his/her argument in those terms is to be summarily dismissed.

  18. Its cute that you cling to this fantasy that Cutler is in the same universe as Rodgers (the most talented QB in the history of the league) If Cutler had GB's o-line, he'd be a top-3 QB. I'm not comparing him to Rodgers, because Rodgers is the best I've ever seen, but he'd be incredible. Seriously? Better than Brady, Brees and a health Peyton Manning? No way. Did you just see that? I love Rodgers and think he's the best QB in the league right now, but you have to admit he doesn't have to deal with that kind of pressure, play after play, down after down, week after week. At the very least I'd like to see how good Cutler would be with good receivers and a decent line. I'm not saying he'd be as good as Rodgers, but I do think he'd develop into one of the best in the league eventually. Surely you must acknowledge the ungodly pressure he's under. Nobody else is dealing with that on an ongoing basis. It's really not even fair to him.
  19. Wow. It's a crying shame most Bear fans don't realize how awesome Cutler can be. 99.9% of QBs would have folded under these conditions long ago. What a [expletive] performance, man.
  20. They'll take care of Forte. I have no doubts. We don't need to bring it up every time he makes a run or a catch.
  21. Hello? Stop False Starting? NOW.
  22. FINALLY Hester makes a tough catch. And that should have been offsides on Bosch, not a false start on Webb.
  23. Only Forte brings me Joy these days.

  25. All the Prius are a little different. But they're all kinda geeky and kinda lame.
