  1. change of batting stance? seriously, bonds was an awesome hitter who became ridiculous after pumping his body full of juice. bautista was a mediocre player who has become terrific. steroids don't make lousy players become good; obviously there's something more than "oh look he's obviously juicing" at play here. I could see a change in mechanics accounting for some increase in power. Going from mid-teens in homers to mid-50's? I'm just saying it's suspicious.
  2. There's a pretty obvious explanation for a 30 year old who never generated any power in his life suddenly hitting like Bonds.
  3. Did the Bulls play last night?
  4. That was the best part of that play. Hah, yeah. Lakers meltdown. And if you're gonna meltdown, you may as well have Artest on the floor at the end to put the cherry on top.
  5. Better tonight. Keep the bigs crashing down low. Impose yourself on these guys.
  6. Bin Laden dies, Pena flies. coincidence?
  7. Hehe. It actually sounds pretty good to me right now.
  8. He's good, and not gritty. I like.
  9. Yeah, can't watch these games because I'm in DAYTON. And Dayton sucks.
  10. Awwww. Someone's feelings got hurted.
  11. I was just wondering that, too.
  12. Come on Demp it's May now. Time to stop sucking.
  13. You didn't have to say that. You said it. But you didn't have to.
  14. http://www.csnchicago.com/05/03/11/Kaplan-Rose-undergoes-MRI-has-Grade-2-sp/kapman_article.html?blockID=515797&feedID=8487 God Kaplan is a nightmare.
  15. Just come out of the locker room and play well, for once. It's not the first couple games of the playoffs anymore. There's no reason to wait until the 2nd half to come back. Make them come back from a huge deficit. Put that 10-2 run up front and see how they respond. They should be the ones that need to respond.
  16. Pay attention there, mister multi-task.
  17. No, let's look at it like Soul instead; with irrational fear. No you're right, irrational homerism would be a much more balanced approach.
  18. I don't know, Banedon. I was watching Hawk player taking passes into the open court, shooting without the slightest challenge. Of course they are going to make those. I don't think it's just that they got lucky. The Bulls are allowing that luck to happen, to a certain degree.
  19. Yeah, that's what I mean. It's not like I think we suddenly can't win the series. But when I see the team come out like that, get behind due to lackluster play (2nd round of the playoffs and you're sleepwalking out of the locker room........really?), and then have to try to storm back later on at home, no less. It's concerning. I'm not saying the Hawks aren't a good team. I believe they are. And I never bought all this crap that the Bulls have all the advantages, blah blah blah. But there's an element where I wonder when this team is going to wake up and start playing up to their own potential. Other than the final game of the Indiana series, I feel like they've been playing lazy and uninspired basketball the whole time. Why, I can't say. They've done nothing. Proven nothing. They're acting like they've got 2 championships under their belt and can flip the switch any time they want. The reality is, we don't even know if they have a switch that can flipped at all.
  20. Agreed.
  21. Having the heart of the order stinking it up also makes the team a chore to watch.
  22. Yeah, regardless of whether it will actually fix the problems, Jaramillo is about to find out the downside to being overpaid.
  23. We just lost the first game at home and none of these supposed matchup advantages were evident. And Rose's ankle continues to be a recurring theme. Am I freaking out? No. But worried......yes, of course I'm worried. But I'll be perfectly honest: any time I hear Chicago media talking heads spouting off about how easy it's going to be for one of our teams to win, I become very afraid. Because they are almost always completely and totally wrong.
