  1. Good luck. It's horrifying what just happened, 4th round or not. The Cardinals must be laughing with glee.
  2. Has to make you wonder what is wrong with emery Brain deficiency syndrome.
  3. I'm feeling a little woozy myself.
  4. I call hoax. Jerry was never actually fired. It's a massive conspiracy.
  5. OK, maybe this should go in rants but good [expletive] lord that was the dumbest [expletive] thing.
  6. Cardinals just took Massie. Thanks Bears!
  7. LOL. oh god.
  8. We need him. He's there. Take him. There's no complexity here. Just do the only thing that should be done.
  9. My goodness, he's right there. Take him.
  10. Surely SD is taking Massie here.
  11. Ahh, Steelers just jumped up. I wonder if it's for Massie. Both SD & CHI need OL help.
  12. It's funny. There's always a guy or two that drops like this. This year it's Massie. iirc Mark Anderson was like that too when we picked him up late.
  13. What would it take to trade up and get Massie? If not, I'd take a 4th round chance on Sanders.
  14. That could very well be what the Bears are thinking. 1 career interception in college makes me wonder about his ball skills, though. Obviously I know little about him in reality. I'll be very interested to see him in camp.
  15. I'll go ahead and say their D grade of Hardin is a tad much. They say no major board had him ranked anywhere near this and he should have gone in the 5th round. But cbssportsline has him at a round 3-4 pick, NFL draft countdown has him as a mid-rounder, nfl draft scout has him @ 3-4. It's not as outrageous as they say, especially given the fact that he's very tall and runs well. I'm a bit concerned with the injuries since he missed all of 2011 and had a previous hand/wrist break as well. He's apparently a big hitter, but also apparently fragile. Not a good combination. I like the pick, it's a bit of a risk but I think there's a decent chance someone else would have jumped up and taken a guy with his measurables before we picked again. I also disagree with their high ranking of the McClellin pick. I'll go C-, B+, B- I think it's now imperative that we pick OL.
  16. Yeah. Coffee cup. Not coffee inside.
  17. Good. Out of college, Haynes looked like he could destroy a dozen thugs in an alley. He wound up a neutered [expletive] cat. Sign me up for the opposite dynamic. I'm all for accounting boy who turns into NFL killer. Give me some of that :)
  18. Maybe in 20 minutes you'll feel differently again... Initial Hardin reaction: 20 minutes later: yea, I over-reacted when I didnt recognize the name. You got me. also, why did you leave out my other post? maybe he ignored it because your link leads to a 404 error.
  19. Think about if Jeffrey keeps his weight under control (which he will, period). Cutler now has two top, big targets who can go get the ball.
  20. I feel much better about rounds 2 and 3 than our top pick, actually.
  21. I could've used a bit of a break before talking Blackhawks again. But you go for it, if you want to.
  22. Following that philosophy, the mound would be empty.
  23. If we liked McClellin that much, then I wonder if Emery explored trading down a few spots for him. Reaction to the pick is all over the map. People just don't a very solid read on what will happen with this guy. He could wind up anywhere, including on the list of 1st round busts. I doubt he displaces Izzy year one. It's not the same player, and Lovie is still coaching this defense. Does this pick mean anything in terms of Lovie? I'm excited for the next couple rounds, but I think Emery needs to now settle down and pick a solid player that makes sense for the position he is taken. He's gotten our attention. Now draft a good value pick or two.
  24. Yes, and Vrabel was selected more in the area where I would have expected. I don't hate the player, I dislike the pick. Obviously I hope McClellin becomes a fantastic Bear.
  25. My first reaction: bad pick. He doesn't seem strong enough to anchor the DE full time. He'll have to come in on passing downs. So he's a pass rush specialist at best. That doesn't smell like first round to me. More like 3rd. So maybe he has great athletic talent. Cool. So do a lot of other guys. I hope he works out as a player for us. Even if he does, he still shouldn't have been taken this high.
