  1. For some reason this made me think of Major League “no, it’s too high. Too high.”
  2. Big assist from the Crew. Please win tonight
  3. Bad, new pitcher = baffled Cub hitters. Cubs < 3 runs.
  4. And I feel like it would be a success if they just went 3-3, given what we thought after that Detroit disaster. After this stretch of games it really does get hard though.
  5. For me it's just about results. Last year we won 83 games. This year at least 88. This is what he did with Milwaukee (he went 73, 86, 96 in first 3 years). As long as we win more games next year, it will still be a trajectory of improvement. There are things that annoy me about him but he's here to guide the team to win games and the early returns are he's doing it.
  6. It is what it is. The team that were world beaters up until Summer is gone. Tucker gone. PCA tanked out, Suzuki forgot how to hit. Boyd tired. Shota fading. Blah blah blah. At least they made the playoffs. That's a tick better than last year. (yes I'm writing them off as a 1st round ouster)
  7. It’s funny how the outlook changes with a solid win where both sides of the ball look good, and some key changes in the outlook of other teams. Next several games: LV, WAS, NO, BAL, CIN, NYG Im gonna regret saying this but if the Bears turn last weekend into the beginning of a growth curve, there are some winnable games coming up.
  8. I don’t expect San Diego to lose more than 2 games the rest of the way. They may win out. Brewers did not try to win tonight. They’re in rest mode. AZ isn’t that great.
  9. Anyone figured out why we do this to ourselves every year?
  10. This was always going to happen. It was written in the stars.,,or something.
  11. It does help knowing the Tigers have had a historic tank out that ours pales in comparison
  12. Don’t expect help from the Brewers tonight they’re pitching Zimmerman, whoever he is.
  13. San Diego is rather nice this time of year I suppose.
  14. Even though home vs away isn’t decided? I’m not saying you are wrong but that would be poor strategy IMO. We still need wins.
  15. Surely he’s injured. There wouldn’t be any other good reason.
  16. The mishandling of Tucker is criminal. That alone should rightly result in a quick 2-and-out rejection at the hands of the Padres —in San Diego
  17. Just another catastrophe courtesy of your hometown Cobs.
  18. The Age of Robot Umps has arrived.
  19. Maybe the Lions are just really good.
  20. Lose Lions lose! 🤘🏼
  21. That’s true. The Cubs have to be one of the few teams that actually own the tiebreaker against the Brewers. We did everything we could to take the edge off of them.
