  1. With their starters LA could easily take two games and win it. I think it’s 50/50. A top starter talent is going for the Dodgers in game 6. Yamamoto is the kind of guy who can get his team a 1-0 CG win. Then game 7 anything can happen. I have enjoyed this WS. It’s been a good matchup. The whole Canada vs USA vibe. The Ohtani snub angle. Good stuff.
  2. I don’t know. I think of BJ as a coach who can put together a consistent winning team without a great QB. I want Caleb to be a top QB too but more than anything I want a winning team. And if Caleb is a bust we move on and win without him. It can be done.
  3. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I figured it’s not Cubs talk so it belonged here.
  4. Dodgers have zero confidence in the bullpen now. They’d rather Snell’s arm fall off than put someone else in.
  5. I will admit my opinions right now are colored by the disappointment of last week. I'm trying to trust the process here but it's difficult when I see guys like Maye doing much much better. I get that it's all about Caleb getting there and not about Maye necessarily, but seeing the "other guy" progress much faster is naturally frustrating.
  6. Certainly looks like Maye has proven to be the better pick, since both he and Caleb were taken 1/3 and into a similarly bad team, now both with brand new HC regimes. The similarities between the scenarios into which each QB was placed are enough to make me think that the analysis is all but over. Maye is better. One thing we know is when a GM misses on the QB pick they aren’t long for the job. Unfortunately the Bears decided to re-up this clown so now we’re stuck with him. A fine mess we are in. Anyone surprised? The one hope is that BJ is good enough to rise above but there is a lot of drag that will hold him down.
  7. Yeah at this point I’m just leaving it in the hands of our head coach, who I trust knows how to evaluate whether Caleb should remain the starter. I’m not liking a lot of things I see from Caleb but I have no idea what BJ is seeing in terms of big picture.
  8. Clearly a disconnect there. Although to be fair, reading the entire article it doesn’t sound like the two are at odds overall what the problems are.
  9. I was just talking with my brother about this. Both of us feel like there’s a good chance guys are open and Caleb isn’t seeing those guys. But admittedly I don’t watch game film that much. There’s solid talent at WR on this team. And Caleb has enough time. I’d be shocked if guys aren’t getting open.
  10. Apparently the Ravens lied about Lamar’s status and the league is going to look at whether there should be some kind of punishment.
  11. You can write a letter which does nothing. Or you can be a pest during the games, always in the refs’ ear like that voice in your head that won’t go away. The latter can yield results. Squeaky wheel gets the grease. It doesn’t have to be a big blowup. It’s more just being the guy who won’t go away. Watch LaFleur. He is a master at it.
  12. He’s not. The good news is, BJ isn’t tied to Caleb other than obviously wanting one of his players to succeed. But in terms of creating a QB controversy or feeling like he needs to make a #1 pick work just because he’s a high pick? I don’t sense that he will let those factors get in the way.
  13. It’s BJ’s call. I’m confident enough in his ability as a coach to make the right decision . I don’t think BJ’s success is tied to Caleb. If Caleb flames out the team will continue without him.
  14. Nothing. Yet.
  15. Attack those weights man.
  16. Might be worth it. BJ’s call. Maybe he needs a week off to look at his mistakes.
  17. I’m always rooting for the Bears, but part of me doesn’t want Caleb Williams to rack up a bunch of meaningless yards to make his stat line look better today. He was bad.
  18. Lamar Huntley and Derrick Payton.
  19. Mean while, Lamar Huntley.
  20. At least the announcers are talking about that one.
  21. Whatever. The Bears didn’t play well enough to win anyway. It’s just ridiculous to see these calls.
  22. And that is it.
  23. Face mask not called
  24. I mean for the announcers to look at that play over and over again and see a total pop to the head helmet to helmet, Never even say one word about it - is inexcusable..
  25. I guess it’s optional to consider the helmet to helmet contact.
