    😄 Thing is, there are members of my household who value the halftime show over the game. So I wind up watching it with them. I have no clue if it was a "good" or "bad" performance though. I need to rely on others.

    Maybe? I don't know. I think if Fields wants to see the field at this point (after he flames out with NYJ), it would be more likely in the CFL or XFL, where his physical skills could be used against lower-level competition. Otherwise he's likely to just be buried on the depth chart and maybe play as a stop-gap for an injured starter. Does he handle a headset well? Maybe he could do color at OSU.

    It’s absolutely valid to say nah, he was always overrated. I’m saying the Bears coaching has been so abysmal on the QB front there’s no way Fields received any kind of NFL-caliber development and that’s what he would have needed, just like many others. Where he’s at now, with the Jets? Zero chance he does anything. He’ll never succeed now. He’s ruined. He doesn’t have the skills and the window to get rid of bad habits and develop them is long past. It’s not provable. Just an opinion.

    It’s too late. He was either overrated as a prospect or ruined by a remarkably terrible coaching staff in Chicago. I believe it was the latter.

    I miss seeing his swing when he absolutely dials in on a pitch. For me it’s more about seeing him do it for another team but I agree with JR in this. It’s a nice thought but not a good decision.

    Just gotta come back and try to steal one. Priester won’t be much easier. His whole thing is getting people to pound the ball into the ground.

    Can’t Steele and Horton be the starting pitcher acquisitions though? I guess it’s easy to forget we’ve fought through being without a key SP pitcher all year long. Done a really good job without him.
